I'm going to NYC with the lady the weekend of June 26th. Somehow i've never been here. Staying in Chinatown, but checking out Times Square, Theater District, Central Park, and other random shit.

Any ideas for awesome shit to do? Sweet bars, metal shops, we're up for just about anything. What's good?

Central park is much bigger than you think, always a nice walk, and it's lined with museums. NYC is so damned big you can just keep wandering and see new things. Be sure to yell "yankees suck" at every opportunity.

Look at the greasy emaciated people on the streets and subway and wonder if they funnel all the fruits vegetables and foods with any nutritional value away from the general population and straight to Derek Jeter's house.

Other than the touristy shit like Times Square, hit up a White Castle and down some sliders. There's maybe a dozen around the city.

there's honestly something to do around every corner.

The museum of sex is cool. I'd rather eat at Daisy Mays BBQ but Dallas is good too. If you're in times square, johns pizzeria is a good place for pizza. They also have a spot on the lower east side on bleeker which is just as good, if not better. Chinatown ice cream factory is worth a stop. They make all of the ice cream there and some flavors are fucked up. Katz's deli on Houston st. could be considered a tourist trap, but I make it a point to always stop there for a tongue and liver sandwich with spicy mustard and onions. Just be sure to tip the meat cutter before ordering and they stuff the shit out of your sandwich. And try to know what you want prior to walking in. It could be intimidating to the first timer.

I saw this in a Seinfeld episode and thought it was just a made up record store name. Kramer and Newman were selling used records to the clerk trying to get big money for Al Jolson.
