i actually bought this game for the PS2 a little over a week ago but decided now to tell u all about it. first off, the fucking game itself costs $100. luckily i have a friend that works at GameStop so she got me a 20% discount. so i bring it home to hook it up (it also comes with a 40GB harddrive that you install into the back of the PS2) but i forgot i don't have the network adapter required to connect the PS2 to the internet. so the next day i had to go and buy this adapter for $50 i believe it was. so i go home, try to hook it up. it's not connecting. so i call my older brother who's a fuckin genius with computers. he explains to me that my hub won't cut it, i need to get a router. so off i go to buy a router that cost me between $40-$60, i don't remember and don't feel like checking the receipt right now. now it finally works. then i have to actually register FFXI online to actually play it, which is about $10 a month, but the first month is free. so all in all, i spent roughly $200 just to play one game. you may commence with the severe beating i deserve for being so retarded.

anyways, the game itself is good. starts off slow because you don't know what to do and all and you're so damn weak. but i'm getting better at it. i'm much stronger (though NOTHING compared to some of the japanese players who i guess have had the game for like 2 months cause they're at like level 60 whereas i'm at level 9 lol), better armour, weapons, ect. there's alot you can do in the game like chocobo racing (anyone who knows the FF series knows that's a given) but there's also fishing, trading, auctions, gardening, alot of shit. after i finally get a new job i'm gonna invest in some more online games like Socom 2
