Finally, I have a full day off. Other than occasionally walking the dog, I have vowed to have no responsibilities today. I swung by Armageddon and got some records, plus I have a package from Hell's Headbangers.

I am sitting with a desktop and laptop going at the same time. I am simultaneously downloading; backing up music files; organizing other files, and spinning newly purchased vinyl. I intend to do this for 7 more hours. I am in metal heaven.

so, while I thought I was going to have a easy going day... instead I had to save the dog from attacking a 2 1/2 foot long snapping turtle laying eggs in the backyard (how the fuck it climbed up a steep 30 foot hill from the river is anyone's guess)...... A house rooftop getting engulfed in flames (3 firetrucks - 2 police - a crowd of neighbors, news, fire chief truck, police chief, national grid shutting off gas etc etc) .... plus the son of the neighbor tried to get in a fight with the camera man, even though the grandmother and mother wanted to talk. The news girl was hot. He should have interviewed and got something out of the tragedy.

I have been considering getting the Watain Pic Discs. I'm so compulsive / completist that I would not be able to get just one: I would have to get all of them, and they aren't cheap. I am ridiculously jealous of the Autopsy on vinyl. One day I'll hunt them down.

I compensated for the constant interruptions by binging on metal vinyl til 3 in the morning. It's nice being in a small house instead of a small apartment. I was blasting Blasphemy's Fallen Angel of Doom and no one came pounding on my door.

Yeah, the picture discs are well packaged, and its hard not to get the rest, but, i do have the other albums on normal press. Its horrid how uncheap those records are to purchase... good luck with that though.
