gay for not having a raid controller. its like pretty much the same as going to Microcenter and buying a few sata to usb/esata enclosures for like $15 and a $5 usb hub. i think even the shitty $15 ones are "stackable."

are you having sex with sealex in microcenter? you guys are in love with that place.

This is a little pricey, but the beauty is that they are all powered with a single plug to the base power supply. I have stacks of drives to back up my pictures to and the biggest issue is plugging them in. they each have their own power supplies. I need to get an old computer ps to hook up all my drives to.

heeeeeey i didnt even post in this thread yet.... i dont need to stack anything i have like 15 usb ports. and the ide to usb2 adapters are like 15-20 bucks. I like them better than the faulty enclosures.

USB/SATA and USB/IDE have HUGE power supplies. it sucks. I'm trying to make a tower case out of an old case I'm not using. I just don't know how to loop the PS so that it will power the hard drives when turned on. Then I put a USB hub inside and bang! all the wires are enclosed in the case and there is just the one power supply. plus I would have enough juice to cool it with some fans. The only think that I might do is wire switches to each hard drive so that I can turn each one on/off.
