just a fan of music. i live in vermont but i travel around a lot to see shows all over new england. this show caught my eye so i decided to see if anyone else is going to it.

Vermont, eh? That's pretty cool that you travel to Rhode Island for shows.

yeah, it's not that bad. i live in southern vt so it's not a really bad drive. it's actually closer then some of the shows. i've gone to in maine and stuff. we don't really get a ton of shows near me so i guess it's the sacrifice i have to make to see the bands i like. i would love to live closer to "the scene" though. i guess people take it for granted. i can't believe how people can bitch so much about there being no shows when there are so many within such a short drive. and so what if you don't like all the bands. you might just see one you really like that you have never heard before. that's the way i look at it. that's how i found acariya. i went to see rumplestiltzkin grinder in ct and they were on te bill and i had never heard them before. they have a metalcore feel but they do so much more from all sorts of styles. i'm not really a fan of metalcore but i love them.

i said i'm not really a fan of metalcore. i like bands like shai hulud, darkane, acariya etc because they have more to offer then the bullet for your valentine type which are very cookie cutter in my opinion. i like all types of music though so i don't automatically dislike a band because they fall into a certain category.

As someone fundamentally opposed to things that suck, I am not a fan of Emmure. Worst ever band from CT. A terrible pox upon our house.

emmure is ok. i wouldn't say they are the worst band from ct. i can think of a lot worse. broken schematics is pretty cool though. they are something different. they are like hardcore mixed with electronic stuff. i know that stuff doesn't fly on this site but it's different than what i normally get to see at most shows.

i think i might have to check this show out to see what all the fuss is about with emmure
