I never said nothing about rep. being innocent of that crap. Democrats tout the whole big government shit like it something to be proud of, and the republicans just do it under the radar. They're all a bunch of douche bags.
Personally, my conservatism/republicanism is a sort of hybrid mixed with libertarianism. The gov. should have no say in what we can and can't do if it's something that doesn't harm others.

The government will always control what you do, even if it doesn't bother other people, the government are the biggest conspircy theorists there are.

"If we let little kids on myspace, then they might come across a terror website and join al-queda, and then begin mass bombings in our schools" that's the train of thought for the government.
