actually, he dominated Stampede Wrestling in canada for years as Bad News Allen which was a huge promotion, almost the same size as the WWF, NWA, AWA that dominated America at the time.
Alot of retired wrestlers take up small jobs just to get medical benefits and what not, unless they are junkies most of them are pretty well off.
