Retina started in january 2006 in Rostov-on-Don city, when Alex, Mit, Maks and Igor left band called Inshade. In a week the band has started active repeatitions and creation of a new material with new drummer Andrey. Retina music considerably differs from Inshade: it is more aggressive, tech, and chaotic. In April 2006 the band recording first 2-song demo.
