(Inman Square)

VOLATILE - (Incredibly enjoyable Speed Metal from Stoughton!)
KIDS OF CARNAGE - (Brick to the face thrashcore from the Cape)
fuck off. too drunk. whenever this show happens i know it's the only reason why i'm even alive. i'm hopiing to either get fucked or get really fucked up. i'm trying to think of great things to say but i have nothing. i'll see all you fucks on the 29th.
and hopefully I'll be able to make it out to this depending on the cash flow.
Hey Chris, Just come to the show and pay whatever you can. $6 is the optimal cover for paying the space rental costs and touring bands but as far as I'm concerned having just one more person at the show that is excited to be there is really worth, like I said, whatever you can pay. - Craig
I've gotten 275 flyers out in and around Boston just in the past week. Internets promo has been plentiful and solid. A good idea would be to ask your buddies to repost the show bulletins. This shit will be awesome.

we'll be bringing down a group, size unknown at the moment.
There is a show right after ours with a bunch of weird bands and the Boston poser diy kids will be there. I think if anyone even looks at someone the wrong way we should fuck em up.

Violence is not the answer to all of life's problems, but it sounds good in this case. I think I'll bring my Official It Will End In Pure Horror Mallet. This is by no means affiliated with the Bat of Respect (7RC).
I spoke with Ralph from Death In Custody on the phone tonight for 25 minutes. He is totally down to Earth and they are all really psyched for the show.
Awesome time tonight, good set by all bands. Sucks not many people showed up at all, but I highly enjoyed myself. Thanks to Frey from Volatile for letting me play bass on "See You in Hell", a life dream is now completed.

your very welcome chris, from now on when we play that and you are present, you are very welcome to play it if your up to it!
show was a lot of fun, its a real drag though that no one showed.
Thanks to all the bands and people that supported this show.
I am pretty frustrated about the whole thing. We need to find ways to get more people to come out to the shows.
Clearly it was a bit of a fluke last night, with the lack of attendence, but it was really hard on me. I feel pretty bad about it. You work hard promoting a show, pass out over 400 flyers, spend hours trying to get the word out on the internet to every possible person, really do everything possible to make a successful show and for whatever reason, the people don't come, well it is depressing.
I know there was a lot of things going on last night, I understand that. I think a big problem is that people in Boston are really spoiled. It sucks though, we all work really hard to provide a fun atmosphere, support worthwhile bands and we do it with a ton of honesty and integrity.
Why is it that shows that have the same bands playing every week have great turnouts?
Please offer me suggestions on how to make these shows moew successfull.
I do believe that in the long run we will succeed at making the scene a lot better. Just being witness to the IWEIPH guys making friends DIC and the VOLATILE guys making friends with the RED THREAD ladies, that is achieving my goals. But it is up to all of us to support each other to make this work.
None of my friends bands get to play shows much at all. While at the same time the same bands are playing over and over again at most of the punk shows in Boston. We need to work harder and support each other more and more.
All the bands last night were excellent, both musically and as people. Thank you to Rich Horror in particular for his selfless support of the show. Rich you can count on me to be a real friend for the long haul.
We will win the war in the end, of that I am certain. But for the time being I am pretty bummed. We all need to step up and take more responsibility. I am not sure what I mean by that exactly, but it sounds right to me.
Over and out
Craig

I think the Wrecking Crew show being an early show on the same day and all the way out in Revere is what hurt this show. I think if that was at the Elk's Lodge in Cambridge people probably would've come over to check shit out. But Revere isn't exactly walking distance to Inman Square. Shit happens, I had a blast anyways.

hey its funny you mentioned that man, because last night i was with my lead guitarist and he was saying how we should work together on shows like this. we were actually wondering if you could book a show that volatile would back financially. get back to me on that if your interested, either on www.myspace.com/volatilethrash or talk to me on AIM: Frey665
