Random Acts of Violence were killer when I saw them before. Sort of reminded me of old Cryptic Slaughter at times. I will try to make this gig for sure.

some of my favorites:

deathamphetamine: at the beginning of their set, there weren't a lot of people there. As they moved along, it started to fill in more. they messed up on a few song, but it think they were new playing new songs then. They had a bunce of those echoy wammy bar things that trey, morbid angel, does. That was neat. I also thought some of the guitar work and vocals were a little bit like the acursed

Porphyria: I was all like sick guy. and then? bro-mosh. I don't know if it was the stage or not, but they didn't seem as tight as the last couple times I've seen them. I keep forgetting that blue plays bass for them and not guitar. The crowd was pretty big for them. One of the good things about blue being in you band is the fact that all of allston comes out to support. Well, atleast the ones that have money to get in. Which is about 5 people, but still they are there. tom and blue both have full stacks. I wish they could cross them so one of blues 1/2 stacks is on toms side and one of tom's on blues. I don't know was it is about the middle east, but I always have issues hearing the different guitars (if there are 2) from the other side of the club.

cryptic warning: so no hooker to play symbolic with them. That was sad, but the rest of their set was awesome. Even when anthony's guitar strap broke or when the lights started to spazz out. the front row was a mass of hair flipping up and down.
To the phil fan club: sorry, I couldn't get back there to photo him in all his coolness. some guy in the front with a video camera said "dave, get them to turn up the light on phil". then magically there was a non-red light on phil for a spilt second. I was happy for that split second. too bad I didn't snap any shots.

haha, i was the asshole that spilled the beer in the pit. actually it was more because my poor pabst can got crushed against me. i wasn't the cologne culprit though. I did keep getting whiffs of Pert Plus from that cyclo-headbangin dude in the front.

that's pat and some other kid. I kept having marco brushing passed me all night. I immediately had to check for my wallet.

ya blue plays guitar in porphyria...i checked out his rig once. the bassist plays like a 7 string and used to play guitar in the band. adda way to be observant rev.. psht! this show looks like it was fun...ive never seen a show upstairs at the middle east only downstairs.

random acts of violence: it's been way too long since I've seen these guys. I also didn't get a copy of the CD for my radio show. I wonder if I have to wait until some fat cats in NYC send it out or not. Almost every song they played, I knew from the old CD, mp3s, or the times I've seen them. there was only one song that didn't sound familar. It sounded like normal RAOV but mixed with some of the fun/pre-coming off the junk megadeth. When you were like "whoah, you listen to a lot of motorhead and you don't hate youself yet." the set is probably a beer fueled, beer soaked haze for most of the audience (and for one lucky little person, it was cologne soaked too) I know when the moshing really started, I was in the front getting sprayed down. yes, a fun night indeed.

sick show. All I have to say about Deathamphetamine is: HOLY SHIT! We played with them some time ago, about a year and a half, and we thought that they were nasty then.....boy was I surprized, their new shit is awesome and if I wasn't so damn poor, I would have bought their cd. Porphyria was so fucking brutal. Tims lows sounded like Disgorge, I mean like totally fuckin filthy gutterals that would make anyone else puke if they tried to make such sounds. I missed most of Cryptic Warning and we left a little early during RAOV because we're pussies and it was getting past my bed time. Random Acts' new shit was pretty tight and almost everything I'd expect it to be, fast as fuck riffs and mean dualing guitar solos. Hats off to Phil for playing 2 consecutive sets.

ya, i noticed the new chirpy low vox for porphyria. good move.

yeah, you guys are right, I'm sure that carina's pictures will be in the boston phoenix.

The best part of this show was Carina.

Awesome show. All the bands riped. Thank you Porphyria, Cryptic Warning and Deathamphetamine. Also thank you to Rev and Carina for the pix. Rev you got a CD coming. And thanks to everyone that came and made it fucking crazy. If you were hurtin at work today, I was right there with you.

I had an amazing time just because I was in the presence of myself and I am an amazing person. I liked the show alot, and it was great to see Carina among other friends I don't get to see alot but am still cool with.

Pam didn't grope me at all, and it made me want to kill myself.

Thanks to RAOV, Porphyria, and Deathamphetamine, and to Rev and Carina. It was an awesome show.

That is awesome that RAOV are getting a Pheonix article and Carina's pics will be used. It's about time they get more recognition around here. Thursday night was just proof of how great they are, best set I've seen from them yet.

raov: fucking a, so tight. Everytime I see them I enjoy watching them. I enjoy playing shows with them especially. I unfortunately didn't see Hooker anywhere for some reason until they were on stage.
