First of all, I'm working on the design of a new web site. It will not be anything overly fancy, but we felt it was time for a bit of a change.
We are already working on the details for the first bands to play MDF 2006. The new web site will be launched at the same time of the first 6-8 band announcements in about 1 month from now.

Also, things are already set for a new venue that will completely blow away the House of Rock on all levels. It will be held at SONAR and you can check out their web site at www.sonarlounge.com
SONAR is 5 minutes by foot from the inner harbor area. Re-entry will be allowed for EVERYONE. No bullshit. We are no longer dealing with shady pricks like the owner of the House of Rock and re-entry has already been made clear.
You will have much more breathing space in 2006 as SONAR's legal capacity is 1,500. The stage is higher, the main room is huge, there is a second room connecting to it, and there is a seperate lounge with couches and another bar (similar to that of the Thunderdome for those who remember that place).

And this is taken from the Sonar web site since they are in the middle of upgrading everything at the venue:

By September, Sonar will have a completely new sound system. The club will have all new gear to run live shows, and the sound in that room will be upgraded. The main stage area will see all manner of improvements, from the crowd areas to the backstage, as we strive for legendary international status as one of the premier venues in the U.S.

Rock on and be on the lookout for band announcements in about 1 month or so from now.

That would be great, but they are a bunch of flakes. This according to most Dutch bands that tell us they aren't even worth trying to ask. Not to mention, they gayed out on us in 2004 with no legitimate reason for canceling and they aren't even a band right now.
