i did call the police and 3 of them came. i let them into the building and showed them the apartment while it was happening. not sure exactly what has develped as a result, but the beatings have stopped for the time being, so i assume that action was taken. i hope that i helped her because no one deserves that kind of life.

i am not trying to make enemies on this board, i just feel that making jokes out of such a miserable display of human filth, especially one as extreme as is illustrated in the story posted here is just in poor taste. i too have a sick sense of humor, but when something as serious as this hit me so close to home, it really put a bad taste in my mouth. i don't think i'm a "pussy" for giving a shit about people's lives and safety.
