best part of this is the drumming... Mike Justain (formerly of The Red Chord, now with Unearth) did the drumming on the CSDO CD that was supposed to be released like what, 10 years ago, when the songs were still new?

I have to give them credit for being good at what they do, despite it's not my thing.

Critique:
This song could have been over and done with in under 3 minutes, it didn't need the extra long siren intro, the dragged-out-and-beaten-senselesly-for-3-minutes outro, or the excessively loud explosion at the end, which I do believe crippled my cheap-o PC speakers. The bass was too loud in the mix, almost drowning the guitar out at points. I have to give it a 4/10, wasn't completely awful, but left alot to be desired.

I don't think the bass is too loud.

it is in parts, could have been my cheap ass speakers though, I only paid $30 for them.

I give it a 7/10, i don't think the outro was dragged out at all.

maybe it was my mood this morning. I don't have anything against CSDO, they're all great guys, but I think they need to get this album over and done with. I'm good friends with one of the guys from Screaming Ferret, and he keeps telling me "it's almost done" and has been saying that for about 3 years :(

I could have rated a bit harsh this morning, I rated pre-coffee :/

I'll give another listen tonight, and maybe rate it again.

I do however give the website a 1/10 the blinking stars background choke up most computers, and it's kinda gay. the layout is poor, I can do better in 20 minutes (hence why I'm a web designer/programmer/database developer by profession, and I do it freelance on the side)

I think that CSDO'd weak point has always been the bassplayers.

mark, you are too kind... csdo.net gets a -1 on web-design for me and looks like that site that homer simpson made.

Yeah, I was being nice, because I believe Eric's Stepmom designed that site.

If you don't like the song mark, then why do you want the album to come out so bad?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 22,2005 10:29am
I thought it was just his mom... but yes, I believe you are correct

it's really only this song that I didn't like, the rest of their stuff I think is much better then this.

I'd like the album to come out, for their sake, so they can move on and write new material

the only way to stay old school is to never release anything on cd's and never write anything past 1990.

I've known Eric and Mike since 1999. They're both great people. I think they've got a fill-in drummer playing with them while Mike is on tour. And yeah I know, that cd should've been released two years ago. But, I guess they had to wait for world wide distro before it was to come out. I think Timmy and Eric have something up their sleeve's. I think it's going to do very well.

I'm going to see them at Jarrod's this Saturday with Meliah Rage. I don't think I'll be able to make the show on 4/13 with Over Kill.

so i gave the song a listen. much better production than that other song i heard on the site, i forgot the name of it. the intro was tolerable, though while the siren was going off when the music started, it got annoying and drew attention away from the music. now the music itself is 10,000 times better than that other song i heard. i actually thought it was very good. so i will give you guys credit on that. however i still can't stand the vocals, or the patterns Erick uses. so for that, i guess a 5/10 works
