It was at the Worcester Gaylladium (sorry, it's just too easy ;) so be prepared to hear the bitching.
Bullet belts off..that's always nice.
Then manage to get a drink bracelet with my green card cause I knew one of the bouncer (so that's a good start cause they usually tell me to fuck off aka this is not a valid id).
Then go to the ticket booth draging Brian behind me cause I was supposed to be on the Relapse guest list plus one, but obvioulsy Relapse forgot...fuck so we had to pay.
Then Troll came in, and he's 40...Portugese, green card but they didn't gave him a drink bracelet...so drunk I was (still am) and I dragged him with me at the door to do some bitching. WTF, this is not fair..the guy is 40, you gave me a bracelet w/ my green card so why don't you gave him one? They started explaining all that shit to me about the green card not being a valid id in MA. So obvioulsy I started swearing...that didn't help but I apologize and then "Why don't you go get the cops and ask them if it's a valid id" which they did...but I charmed them all and Troll ended up with a drink bracelet...which he used pretty poorly by bying a drink to my lovely roomate Gary who is only 19...they get caught both throw out of the place...I followed them the bouncers wanted an explanation...I was like. Oh I just handed my drink to Gary while I was going to take a piss. Didn't work. They got kicked out. I punched a marble wall...man it hurts, then went for a beer and a shot of Jager.
The first band sucked, then Zeke which I was looking forward to were good but THEIR SOUND WAS TERRIBLE I COULDN'T WATCH THEM.
COC I didn't even watch, my goal during these 2 bands ws to get as many free drinks as I could...not the best but I got 5 or so.
In the meantime, you can't smoke inside (which is fine by me), but they don't let you go smoke outside either. So I was looking for one bouncer who hooked me up at the Cannibal Corpse show last time...he didn't go for it. So I went highschool style to smoke in the girls bathroom wih Cara, password:Riistetyt.
While Cara was finishing the cigarette I end up talking with this German lady an we both start bitching about the fact we can't smoke. The bouncer came in tried to kick me out, which I refused, she called her boss, but I knew her and I was like "just let me bitch I'm not doing anything wrong, I wasn't even smoking!". She left.
then Motörhead went on...finally...please end my night I can't handle it anymore. They played Whorehouse Blues and that's all it mattered to me. A few guys tried to sneak in in front of me in the pit, but you can't do that that easily, I was tightly hanging to Forrest the whole entire set so it was even more difficult.
So I have to say Motörhead saved the night, but they really shouldn't play in places like the Palladium..they don't fit there whatsoever. THE PALLADIUM SUCKS> I HATE THE GODAMM PLACE...
Back In PVD, went to grab some fallafel with Brian and here we are again with some douchbag insulting the fallafel place...motherfucker.
People suck...
I do too...

Missed Zeke which pissed me off, If anyone has not checked them out yet do it. C.O.C used to be fast hardcore. Eye for an Eye. Motorhead played a weak set. Overall a weak show. Never the less it was good hanging with my girl Marsi, Alex (BESTIAL), Keith, Mike(HIrudinea), Anne , Eric (Abhorred), and Meaghan. Anyone interested (Abhorred guys!) should come to Brooklyn to see Watchmaker Sunday with Mortician and Malignancy. If anyone is interested we are renting a van and coming back the same night. Email me at kevorkiansangels@hotmail.com

sounds like I missed quite a show (. . . *sound of crickets* . . .)

I will tolerate the Palladium for Kreator. Shit, those guys could play the Ramrod and I'd still go (I wonder how I'd sneak in though)

on a side note Anne I got that Oaken Throne zine in the mail yesterday, you're right those articles are really really well written! That guy must have a blast, being a black metaller in GEORGIA

The palladium sucks. I had to take my bullet belt off as well. I thought it was odd that they allowed my friend to bring in cigarettes but no lighter. That's like giving out cups with no beer. Anyways I had an awesome time and was able to drink even though my id looks nothing like me. WHOO!

i had a great time. i actually like new coc so i thought they were entertaining. motorhead played an awesome set. only thing that sucked were the redneckish types in the crowd. alex onslaught got kicked out for fighting one of them. i think the same guy tried to start with me a minute later but security rushed him out the door haha. other than that the pit was pretty fun.

hey keith mutiny, nice meeting you.

cant wait to see this show in montreal,canada.. Will be drunk fun, I too like the rock era COC (the crossover stuff is great too).. The new COC album in the arms of god is really good too, kinda reminds me of deliverance/wiseblood with some mid-later era cathedral (and sabbath duh). The motorhead set-list ive seen seems really cool, tho I would love to see certain songs off other albums up till orgasmatron.

i love how you are all bitching about things that are either A. state law and could get the place closed down (ie smoking and proper ids for drinking) and things that just artent allowed in the building like bullet belts... hmm lets see lots of people could cause injury... fuck u people piss me off

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Mar 13,2005 3:04pm
whoa whoa, that comment pissed me right the fuck off. Your fucking people and your bullshit, not smoking inside is one thing, thats state law, ok i live with that, but not letting people outside then back in is a violation of our right as PAYING CUSTOMERS. I've been thinking of this a lot lately and im not sure why someone has not takin action in a civil suit of taken chase in a descrimination file for not even letting people smoke outside. The palladium is the one and only establishment in both RI and MA that will not allow re-entry for smokers, and its only because its "inconvienient" for you fucking people to allow a controlled group of so many people out front at once. Say what you want, im fully aware the fire department didnt want an abundance of people on the stairs, so moderate, rather than making up fake laws and reasons to not let people back in. Im in the process of contacting the state and legit legal resources in order to find out why i am being punished and not allowed to get back in when i want a butt. Say what you want, but if any single smoker that works there was in a situation like that at another establishment they would feel the same way, but instead you fuckign people and your half ass rules let those kids who know anyone get away with murder, but tell everyone else to go fuck themselves. The staff there in the last 2 years or so have gotten power-ridden and its getting sickening, this has come to a boiling point as of late, and i will do my part in changing this to the benefit of the patrons.

So dont fucking give me that "its not our fault" bullshit, cause your lying to us, and if you really belive that, your lying to yourselves as well. How come theres no injury and no problem at any other bar or venue in new england, but yet you guys have more issues and complaintsthan any of them combined? The Pallium, and associated, have become he only medium sized venue in this location, and i think do to that you people think you can get away with thinking your better than all you patrons, and aking up whatever ruls that you want and calling them laws. Remember, we fucking pay to keep you guys open, and the more you push, some of us will push back, this country was founded on it. Dont ever attack anyone for being upset at your rules, theyre bullshit and ou know it.

toggletoggle post by Scoracrasia   at Mar 13,2005 3:11pm
We had a blast at the show and got pretty wrecked. They might be anus's at that gaydium but it is easy to get away with shit. I just stuck my lighter in my boot, fuck it. Rachel got the shaft and had to take her bullet belt off but we just tossed the belt in my car. Good times though, I had a blast.

toggletoggle post by lynne too lazy to log in at Mar 13,2005 3:12pm
ok so lets see...i go to the fleet center for motley crue and there was no reentry for me to go out and come back in to smoke.... i just dont smoke... i deal with it... its their establishment and that is the rules.
And what because we cover our asses and do business like other larger establishments instead of the smaller ones we should just say fuck it... lets let everyone in with sharp objects and then when someone gets hurt and they decide to sue the club because everyone is sue happy now a days and the club goes under its "oh well at least the fans were happy they could wear their bullet belts while we were still open" ?

as far as saying the staff has gotten power hungry over the last few years thats ridiculous...especially considering most of the staff have only been working there a few months to a year....

look all im saying is its a business.... the people who work there are following state law and running the place like a business.... places that arent run like businesses are eventually shut down cuz of the abundance of problems.

people from the state actually come into the venue "under cover" and check on things during shows.... we dont do things to be an ass we do it for saftey reasons and because we are followin hte law. it seems like in general only people who do not know how to behave end up hating the club

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Mar 13,2005 3:17pm
Keith, all you do is bitch about the place, then why do you go? Because you NEVER pay to get in

"but not letting people outside then back in is a violation of our right as PAYING CUSTOMERS" -that doesn't apply to you, since you are on the guest list and didn't pay for shit!

the day that the Palladium stopped letting people smoke was one of the happiest days of my life.

and not allowing people out to smoke so that they are tortured in their nic-fits makes me super happy. smoking is the gayest fucking faggot sucking thing in the world. I love the fact that I'm probably going to get lung cancer cause of dipshits smoking around me.

this is probably the one thing that me and billy milano agree on.. like he said at the bombshelter "thanks for smoke, I'll remember next time I take a shit to make you smell it"

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Mar 13,2005 3:21pm
i don't get most of the bitching...everyone is relly nice there except for 1 bouncer who sometimes is a dink to aaron

other than that, i can understand not allowing reentry for smokers, bigger venues do that, it's harder to keep track of what is going on and they need more people out front..i think it depends on the show whether or not that is allowed..so at least you can do it sometimes at the palladium
anyhow, i see things that happen that bother me, but all in all...i think it's a great place and sound is best in the bathroom

twice in this thread, an anonymous posted said something towards me, post your name, and your cause, or get fucked, ok?

and for the record, someone, somewhere paid or compensated for the ticket, or any that i have recieved, so yes, that verifies a PAYING CUSTOMER. And i go when theres someone i want to see playing, why does anyone go? when a band, such as motorhead, plays only one show that i know of in the area, i pretty much have to deal with it, wherever it may be. No fucking wonder why 90% of the people in all local music scenes, that arent just, "dad and the kids, goin out to see a concert for the night, in the big city" hate the place.

You guys throw people people out when shit goes down, ok, fine, but maybe try doing to everyone, not just the kids that you dont know. I've seen more than enough kids chummin it up with staff them gettin into shit, only to have the advisary dragged out and the "cool kid" left to do his buisness.

you can argue with me for a lifetime and i will still stand my ground, and im sure ill be in there again. I keep to myself when im there, i dont fight, i dont buy booze for minors, and i dont even try and ge away with smoking in the bathrooms. I follow all the rules whether i like them or not, not because i want to but soley because i respect the rules, that doesnt mean i think theyre right.

I'm screaming apon deaf ears so theres not even a point in disscussing this at this time.

This was this fat obnoxious drunk bitch in front of me for 45 minutes and once the pit opened up I fuckin body checked her, she deserved it. Some guys gave me his beer that was pretty cool. Mototrhead kicked ass of course they played just about everything I wanted to hear. And before the show I checked out the Worcester mental hospital off of route 9. That place is fuckin cool.

WEll, this piss me right off as well.
There's a way and a manner to do that shit. The palladium staff are the rudest people ever.

toggletoggle post by ArmageddAnne   at Mar 13,2005 5:10pm
The staff are not all rude but a lot of them are.
I personnaly feel I have my reasons to be pissed off, let it be just for my green card. This is pure horse shit, the Palladium is the only place in MA who gives me shit when I present my green card, I paid $2000 for it, worked on it for 1 year, follow all the fucking gvt rules, didn't fuck up once single time....all that and they ask me if I have my passport? Cause this is not a valid ID in the state of MA? There's all the info they need in there, picture ID, name, a number to track me down, and my fucking fingerprint. Sorry but fuck that shit. I would not go at the Palladium if I had another option, unfortunately there's none. So I deal with it, but please let me do my bitching.
If you guys are satisfied with their rules, fine by me. Personnaly I'm not. I don't really like rules to start with and they completely abuse it.
The drinking law in this country is utterly ridiculous and you guys might be use to it, but I will never get use to this. Growing up in Europe this is just something I don't understand.
Oh yeah you can tell me to go back where I'm from and I'll tell you to fuck off.
Everytime I go there I feel like I'm in a kindergarden.
Again, some people like to be controlled. I don't.

i can understand how you feel growing up in a society where alcohol is completely different... trust me i do... but all im saying is dont blame the palladium for following state laws.

in the state of massachusetts there are very few forms of ID that can be accepted as legal means of identification for the service of alcohol: a Valid MA Drivers License, a MA Liquor ID Card (not a state id), a passport, and a Active Military ID.... thats the law....

toggletoggle post by ArmageddAnne   at Mar 13,2005 5:45pm

My problem really is just the rudenest and attitude of most of the staff.

A liquor purchase ID card; a current Massachusetts driver's license; a valid passport issued by the United States government, or by the government, recognized by the United States government, of a foreign country; or a valid United States issued military identification card are the preferred forms of identification when proof of age is required. there is a difference between a passport and a greencard

toggletoggle post by ArmageddAnne   at Mar 14,2005 12:22am
The difference between a passport and a green card is the passport is issued by your country of origin whereas the green card is issued by the country of emigration.
Totally two different things.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Mar 14,2005 9:45am
you'd rather lose the greencard you worked so hard to obtain? go to the registry, pay the $25 or whatever and get yourself a liquor ID. That is the ID we have in this country, and it isn't a driver's license.

It's true, you can only get a valid US passport if you are a citizen of the US, and able to work in this country, but, a green card is something you get in the interim, before you become an actual citizen. With a green card you are a resident alien, able to work, not able to get a US passport or vote. You still need to travel on the passport of your country of origin when you just have a green card. Also of note, you can buy a fake green card for about $6000 - they take longer to ferret out as fakes, because our immigration and social security records don't particularly sync up. You could be completely illegal, get pulled over by the cops and they would never know unless an arrest warrant has been issued for you.

The word is "preferred" form of ID. Not mandatory. That's why some places will take out of state licenses and green cards, and some other, much gayer and faggoty places, like the Palladium, won't.

A green card is not something you get in the interim, it's only in the interim if you want to become a US citizen (which I don't), you can live all your life in the US with a green card (renewable every 10 years) without becoming a US citizen.
You need both to travel especially if oyu go overseas. I'll use my passport to go through the custom in Europe (EC line) and back to the US I'll have to present both to the cops cause I go through the US citizen line.
I actually rather lose my green card than my passport, the green card is easier and faster to get back than my passport, it really is.

and I say if you don\'t want to become a citizen, go home.

~why?

i don\'t want to becone a citizen, why should i go home?

I currently have dual citizenship (neither being US) and the US requires me to give them up if I want to become a US citizen, so i say \"no thanks\" to that.

Having said that, i work and pay my taxes and do my part, this is now home for me and i would not want to live any palce else. Having lived in different countries i prefer the US 100000%

I would wager it is not the US demanding you relinquish your other citizenship - I have dual citizenship one of which is US. Most foreign countries require that you only have one citizenship - the US doesn't have this policy. For instance, most South American countries demand your 100% allegiance or give it up to take on a new citizenship. It's not the US, unless they have changed that in the last year. I put the question back on you, why would you even want to live here and NOT become a citizen? Why should you benefit from all we have to offer, but not go the full 9 yards and become a citizen? I think that is pretty slimy. Like I said, I have dual, but the only real reason I keep my Irish citizenship is so I can work in the EU, if some day I need/want to. If I had to choose/give on up, I would choose to keep just my US.

I worked in Cork Ireland for a while BTW...
and by me not becoming a citizen, how am i benefiting from everything? I\'d benefit from a lot more if i were to become one...I still pay taxes like a citizen...only don\'t reap al lthe benefits...how is that \"slimy\"? that makes no sense...I\'d get a lot more if i were to become one. Also, the US would allow me to keep my canadian citizenship but not my Italian...and Italian is what I am and I do not want to give it up. As you know, having a EU passport helps a lot especially when you do a lot of traveling overseas.
I don\'t see why it bothers you if someone doesn\'t want to become a citizen

Carina, that \"Anonymous\" person is a retard, who cares what they say? First off, they are anonymous and why it bothers them that you are proud of where you came from and they are sell outs, well, why should you care? Fuck them!
