Pit Magazine review
Ascendancy, like other awesome northeast underground bands like Burial and Goratory, believes that making extreme music is serious business. While others just dream about touring other countries, getting radio play, or recording at a top studio, Ascendancy has already done those things. Frontman/Guitarist Terence Herrera, who once considered a career in professional wrestling, has a sturdy, listenable voice the gives the band's melodic death/black metal music a consistently dark tone. Guitars dominate here (not surprising as there are two players), but most interesting is the way Ascendancy evoke a dramatic keyboard feel without keyboards! John, if you place an ad in pit for your label, then they will most likely put an actual story about them in it. They work on an "i scratch your back you scratch mine" type of deal. If you put money into them, then they will do interveiws with your bands. As far as reveiws, i don't know, i think you send your cds into them and sometimes they reveiw them, sometimes they don't. I would e-mail Jon, he is a cool shit, he'll let you know how it works, go to the pit website and i'm sure his e-mail will be their.
