New site? Maybe some day.
Just what everyone on this board was hoping for, a new black metal project. I'm ditching the Oneiric Realm name after writing on my own without Mark has proven to be its own animal. I'm in discussions with a potential second guitarist and drummer but any interested parties are welcome to reach out to me as nothing is set in stone.
I am calling this new project Din.
Here's a brief sound clip of the type of stuff I've been writing:

I figured you were too busy with the 2 or 3 projects ya had goin. You have my number, man. |
this will sound good with a real drummer |
Haha cheers, man. Just working with what i got. |
I liked the clip.
Are you saying Oneiric is at rest, or just that this music needed its own project name? |
Haha cheers, man. Just working with what i got. |
I didn't mean it as an insult, I meant that it sounds good already, but with that nice organic drum sound it will be killer. Did a good job with the drum machine either way. |
I am at the moment actually. I was going to pull an Immortal13. :{ good luck man |
Glad ya liked it. RIP Oneiric Realm. |

Didn't take it as an insult at all. I totally agree with ya haha. |

Lol thanks dude. |
Still has that Brown Jenkens tone that I love. Looking forward to drinking to this live. |
Cheers moonroom and alx. Can't wait to play this live. This is just a short clip; I have so many ideas built up and I'm pumped to get back on stage. |
I have a bunch of material written for the concept album I'm working on that has a lot of depressive elements mixed with the chaotic atmosphere of this particular song. Prepare for the weird, ye fucks. |
Burnsy is an amazing guitar player, glad I got to play guitar for OR in the beginning and play on the demo. RIP. |
where do you practice burnz? |
My bedroom in Brockton haha. I'm defintely willing to commute and contribute to rent for a space if need be. |
Also, if you're not too busy with other projects ark, i'd be pumped if you were down for this. |
ITT: abaroth calls it quits |

i'd say you can give me tracks and i can learn them and then you could come down to worcester and jam and we could record etc...but i got a full full time job, school, 2 other bands, projects i should spend more time with, and my dead baby darkwor which looks like it won't see light for a while again, unless you feel like playing guitar in another band yourself. us hobby rockers have it tough. |
i don't see why we couldn't just jam if you feel like coming down to worcester some night. |
If you guys are going to be jamming in worcester, if be down to join on something considering I'm moving much closer in a month. |
this is how arena rock giants are born. |
Ark, same shit goes for abaroth. When I move, things will be picking uo much quicker on my end. Ill be 10 min from chris |
Yeah you guys need to get on that. I really dug that track you guys posted a while back. |
we've been adding to chris' stuff lately. a lot of material to go through. |
? What do you mean? Changing stuff? |
Not to sidetrack this thread. But yea, I just need to jam with him. I will be able to record much more freely as well.
Anyways, carry on Djinn, er Din |
Haha truth. I think anyone on this board could vouch for my vocals but i'm no sound engineer. There is a version with vocals but it ruins what little integrity this mix has. Just wanted to gauge peoples' interest in the style. |
Found a drummer. Just need a bassist. Any takers? |

Weren't those Oneric Realm's lasts words?
Bahaha. I promise not to bang whoever joins Din. |
Count me out then.
But for truth that sample is cool. I need a better drum machine. |
Thanks, Dolan. I guess I should mention that we play in Whitman. |
Whitman you say? Do you follow up practices with fistfights at the roller rink? |

Nah we go milfhunting there. |

i like the interlude that sounds like knight rider. |
LOL! Wow, it does sound like knight rider a bit, doesn't it? |
People are already hooked after one track? Enough so that there is a band that is addicted to Din? This project is goin' places. |
I dig this a lot! *applauds!*
(no seriously, this is good stuff! hope to hear more!) |
Thanks, Wren! There are 2 or 3 more songs in the works currently. Just not recorded yet. I hope to have some more stuff recorded in the next month or two. They will have real drums. |
burns, who do you have on drums? |
Thread is serious business broheim. No jokes allowed. |
Actually, it's Ross' band now, sorry dude. You will have to hand over the copyright, tabs, gear to him. |
oh you're right, sorry.
Began recording a 3 song EP this weekend. Drums and guitars tracked. Bass and vocals this week. Would like to have stuff uploaded by the show this weekend but I'm not sure that will happen. Either way, within the next couple weeks, we'll have something up for your listening displeasure. |
Meh. I hear it's just generic oneric.
Normally I would support this band but they play shows with Barren Oak. |
this will sound good with a real drummer |
It sounds wayyyyyy better. |

Here is the mix for Rain Follows the Plow. We'll be getting the 3 tracks mastered in short order. |
MUCH EASIER TO SPELL
I APPROVE |
Nice. You did all the mixing, right? |
Yep, recorded and mixed by yours truly. With a few pointers from a couple friends. |
BOW DOWN BEFORE YOUR NEW OVERLORDS |
Sick dust devil core bro. |
I like the guitar tone and chord usage. I can hear a lot of Ved Burns Ende in here. |
Thanks, man. Yeah, they're definitely an influence, along with virus obviously. |
You fart poops? Nice, I cum piss. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for listening. |
Hahaha. Didn't even see that you said it in your first post, aril. |
