Does having hardcore elements in your wmass band autonatically make your band a hipster band?

Having Mark mcCoy and/or Will Killingsworth in your band and/or being influenced by a band with one or both of those guys in said band....*shoots self*

I bet that would sound better.

Looking forward to watching Youth Attack sell out of this demo in 0.3 seconds.

Now the Mark McCoy reference I get, but who is Will Killingsworth?

Ampere, Orchid, Vaccine, Failures...he is or has been in all those bands

toggletoggle post by saxlbeckett at Dec 8,2011 7:41pm
Recording with Will in January. The majority of DA recordings were recorded by Will at dead air and it never got us on youth attack. HE'S JUST THIS GUY YOU KNOW?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 8,2011 10:14pm
slays, I'm going to dl it for my radio show.

you should do a basement show with ultra//negative

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 8,2011 10:17pm
the only thing I don't like is that ever single song starts with feedback. my dog really doesn't like it either.

toggletoggle post by crutch at Dec 9,2011 12:48am
hey man, thanks! we're planning on re-recording some of these so hopefully they will have less of the feedback at the beginning... Would love to get something going with ultra//negative too, awesome jams

also, as long as were on the subject, Y.L.F. and Wasteland were really underrated wmass HxCx

toggletoggle post by Lamp  at Dec 9,2011 5:26am
So has anyone seen this band live yet? How are they? I'm going to reserve myself from forming an opinion until I get that same opportunity.

Never heard YLF, but Wasteland were the shit...one of the best bands I've ever played with

toggletoggle post by crutch at Dec 9,2011 10:10am
we're playing with cop problem on saturday in brooklyn

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Dec 9,2011 10:32am
Hi.

I haven't listened to your demo yet, but why would you start a "hardcore "band named "Crutch" when there has been a band called Krutch from PA that's toured internationally and been around since the 90's?

toggletoggle post by passer by at Dec 9,2011 1:48pm
I thought they took their name from a Crossed Out song.

Correct.

I'm so sick of Crossed Out worship bands. I really am.

I know people still like to pull out the powerviolence jokes on me because I was all about that shit 4-5 years ago, but I've heard so many bands like this that I can barely even stomach the word powerviolence now, never mind the genre.

toggletoggle post by crutch at Dec 9,2011 2:03pm
yeh we've been dealt that whole krutch thing before, as far as im concerned that band broke up basically 9 years ago. and that's not the first time we've offended someone's powerviolence sensibilities. appreciate the input you guys have given

toggletoggle post by GUYnli at Dec 9,2011 2:51pm
You should take those 8 songs and make them 3
