New site? Maybe some day.

Deserves new thread.
How sweet it is.

It's great to see that Boston has had such killer TEAMS the past 10 years! |
7 titles in a decade ain't bad. |
and no major asshole superstars stealing the team's fire (debatable) |
i'm still in shock. this is the best thing that has ever happened in my life as a sports fan. |
this is both good and bad. good that i can go to the parade now but bad that i have play in boston the same night. what to dooooooo. |
Every once in a while it's fun to be a native of this piece of shit state
See y'all at the parade bitchessssssssss |
That was THE most exciting playoffs I've ever watched, in any sport. (As a whole. '04 Sox vs Yanks was a different beast.)
It has absolutely been the decade of Boston sports. Here's to being greedy and wanting more rings/cups/trophies/banners already.
WE ARE SPOILED AS SHIT AND I LOVE IT. |
ARE YOUR DIVIDENDS NOT ASCERTAINED? |
I bet he sucks a mean dick........
and I bet you do too |

1. Bruins allowed 7 goals in 7 full games to the team that led the NHL in scoring. Thomas was simply outstanding, best post-season goaltending since Roy in 93. But the TEAM defense was smothering. Seidenberg was immense and McQuaid grew up a lot this year. Ference had that big goal against Montreal and Boychuck was a force on both ends.
2. Total balance. Every single forward played a part in winning these games. Peverly, Kelly and Ryder ruled round #1. Krejci's line took over the second series and all 4 lines contributed to the TB/Canuck wins. Game 7 vs. TB was the best defensive game I ever saw a hockey team play.
3. Penalty killing was off the charts. Paille and Campbell were channeling Dave Poulin and Dave Reid out there. The Bruins scored 4 short-handed goals in The Finals while Vancouver's PP scored 2!
4. Patrice Bergeron cemented himself as a top tier 2-way forward in the mold of Stevie Yzerman. He embarrassed most of the top centers in the faceoff circle in all 4 series', killed penalties, scored goals in the biggest games and fought through a concussion to only miss 2 games. He will win the Selke trophy soon.
5. They are young. Bergeron, Seguin, Horton, Krejci, Lucic, Boychuck, McQuaid and Rask are all under 26! Thomas is 37 but has low *mileage* since he's only been starting for like 4 years.
Oh, and Marchand singlehandedly outscored the entire Vancouver team combined in the last 5 games of the series. |
Ryder? He'll be gone. Kaberle? Not for 4 mil. I say keep him.
Marchand is an unrestricted free agent but he's already a Boston legend, along with Welker and Pedroia. Undersized players.
Team will pretty much remain the same. Good group of guys, all around. It was real nice to see Chara hoist the cup.
WHERE IS ADAM OATES |
Marshmont is not unrestricted, he's an RFA.
Ryder I would have brought back at a discount because I like him and he always steps up in the playoffs, which is all I care about. But he played so well in this Cup run that surely some other team will be willing to pay him more than the B's. |
Espn said Marshmont was unrestricted? |
Let Ryder and Kaberle walk
Resign Marchand
And sign Zach Parise to an offer sheet (DD who is an RFA from the Devils)
Put Seguin on the wing on the Bergeron line, and let Hamill and Caron compete for Ryder's spot |
best sports moment of my life. 2004 Red Sox was more emotional but I have been a Bruins diehard for 3 decades and play and love hockey more than any sport. Stanley Cup FTW. |
