I've really been trying to keep my mouth shut about this for a long time, after all, this is just a message board... but the trolling has gotten ridiculously out of hand lately. Surely some of you guys must agree, it's time to make this board so you have to be logged in to post.

While it would stop trolls, logging in to post would likely kill this board. I'm all for a policy of the Rev publicly outing posters that troll. I think half the reason it gets so bad is because Rev has always been good about not revealing who trolls are, and allowing it.

I'm not really sure how having to log in to post would kill the board, it only takes two seconds to log in and the trolls never post anything worth reading anyway.

Though I do agree with outing people who abuse it.

Not everyone, just the ones that really SUCK at trolling. Like, allow the Aril vs. Martins trolls, but out the guy doing fake CSDO to death, or the 5000 word title guy. Embarrass them publicly for sucking, which is really the spirit of the RTTP way when you think about it.

It's a tough call really. There have been some funny trolls but the ones that have been posting lately are just AWFUL, and this isn't the first time there have been seriously next level shitty trolls here either. What you're suggesting is probably the best thing we could get for a compromise solution... wouldn't hurt to give a couple other random people the ability to mod shit either.

I'd like to see a troll rating system, where all troll posts get voted on. The ones that get the lowest scores have to crawl through broken glass and then spend 22 minutes with Rich Horror inside the bathroom at Obriens.
