I question the sincerity of this statement. |
Pictures of self destruction our you're a pussy. |
Sweet. Kind of tempted to go to the NY show instead or in addition to this one. |
I didn't like the NYC venue when I was there for Shrinebuilder. Pretentious brothel for metaphysical faggots. |
Only figure of speeches are real.
But self-destruction is a necessity. Put out black & milds on your hand or gtfo |
I don't like associating with metaphysical faggots. Thank you for the warning, Ryan. |
Positively insidious. My pleasure. |
I hired you people to try to get a little track laid, not to jump around like a bunch of metaphysical Kansas City faggots. |

i'm horrible at posting on the phone with proper spelling and/or grammar.

No such this as orborus worms. This thread is fabricated wheatgrass faggotry |
book a HAVE A NICE LIFE about it |
Feral buttdarts right there |
I have no idea what they look like, but have their album that supposedly took more than two years to make. i was assuming they'd be hipsters.. amirite? |
i was assuming they'd be hipsters.. amirite? |
No, you're mistakening them for NACHZEHRER, obviously. |
can't fucking wait for musk ox |
Damn, I need to buy my ticket. |
I was on my way to forgetting to get a ticket, but then I saw this thread bumped. Whew. |

Possibly/Maybe/Probably not |
do a malfunctioning magic 8-ball ritual about it |
I don't feel like reading all this blue garbage. Has a setlist been posted yet? |
2 seats to ny left, get at me if you need a ride |
free ticket for agreeing to drive? yes please. anyone else need a ride from providence? |
I have not bought a ticket yet. FUUUUUUUUUUUU |
i haven't bought mine yet either. is it sold out? if so, FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU |
just got my tickets for the middle east show |
What time do you think this would end? I'd go if the trains are still running after the show. |
I think the middle east ends shows before the last train passes through. At least they did 2 years ago... |
i have my tickets for the middle east. |
Most of the Middle East weeknight shows I've been too have ended in time to catch the T. Both exceptions I can think of right now were metal shows and thus somewhat comparable. This is one I could see going pretty late.
Also, the Central Square T often gets locked up 30 minutes or more before the trains actually stop. Why is that? If the last train starts at 12:50, I should still be able to get in at 12:15.
I have not yet procured a ticket for this. So, uh, maybe. Is your cellular 3g device not working? |
If I make it there by 11 will I miss Agalloch? |
I have 1 or 2 extra tickets, looking to sell if anyone is interested... |
be there around 8 with your favorite, bloodeyebetty |
same here, we should have a beer together |
What's the best place to park nearby if driving in? |
Opening bands for this tour are god awful. Dont stress about getting there on time. |
Even musk ox? The cd I have is all acoustic neo folk and reminds me of ulver. it's awesome |
same here, we should have a beer together |
definitely man |
I discovered Musk ox a couple weeks ago and it's indeed excellent, I don't really care for the 2 other bands, that being said. |
opening bands when they played in '05 were awful too; Novembers Doom and The Gathering? No thanks.
anyway, PB need practice tonight so I'm def not going but I already got my live fill of them backt hen...haven't heard the new shit anyway. |
the openers tonight are going to blow last night's out of the water in comparison. Worm-O had some catchy parts, looking fwd to musk ox though. Neofolk doesnt always have a great transition into a live set, but it should still be better than last night. |
Everybody make sure and take pictures for the "Demolish Williamsburg and Pave the Cascades" fb page. |
Musk Ox 8:15
Vindensång 9
Worm Ouroboros 9:45
Agalloch 11 |
Also Astronomer is playing the upstairs middle east not that anyone will sneak over (except maybe Rev) |
En route now... Passing Natick Plaza, will be in Boston soon. |
Musk ox: 8:15
Vindensang: 9
Worm ouroboros: 945
Agalloch: 11pm
Should be awesome. |
Musk Ox is great so far. Just yelled for him to play " Solstice" |
And he said he would play it. Very clear soundafter they fixed the monitors. |
Is this sold out? I'm gonna go if it's not. |
shows not sold out yet. but holy plaid is on stage with e-bow accompanyment. +5HP and you know what the H stands for |
When I was coming in, they said something about there only being 30 tickets left looks pretty packed to me, but idk if soldout. |
Worm ouroboroso was cool, but the voices made me sleepier. Would like to listen to it while going to bed. It sounded like someone was trying to out low the band Low. |
yeah, not really the type of music that translates well live, especially to a metal show, even if it wasn't a metal crowd. I was in back for their set and all I heard was 85% of the club having conversations.
never saw Agalloch before, thought they were pretty awesome. I did leave before they were done though, after an hour or so I had got my free tix worth and was glad to be home from a show by just after midnight for once.
worm-o reminds me of loreena mckennitt singing for a post rock band. agallochs were on point, much better sound, performance, and crowd response than in nyc. |
Wasn't feeling up for a show tonight, don't think I missed too much. Thanks again for the offer though Mark.. stoked for tomorrow! |
worm-o reminds me of loreena mckennitt singing for a post rock band. |
Well put. |
missing their last song was a dumb idea. it was the only song they did off the mantle. The mantle is one of the best albums of all time.
Also, the loreena mckennitt comparison is retarded and no where close to anything I heard tonight. |
was the last post actually the rev or a troll? i can't tell anymore |
well I did honestly wonder if I would miss the best song by leaving early but since I don't really know them and they exceeded my expectations, no harm no foul. |
the last song was the only song I knew.
And alx, cool... 2 posts with girls singing... I guess all girls sound the same to you. All of them saying "stop calling me" |
singer/guitarist looks like a cross between Bo and Russian Max, right? Anyone? Looking at YOU ROSS! |
Agalloch ruled, although I would have loved to have heard more Mantle/Pale Folklore material. I can't believe how packed this show was. I feel like there wasn't even half as many people at the show in 2005 or whenever it was. |
agalloch was everything i thought they'd be. the lead guitar & burning wood stole the show. there were no opening bands. |
2004
that is the best I got of the crowd. sowweee |
a lot of ladies there, should have been called the middle yeast that night. |
If you listen carefully you can hear Aril trolling. |
Wasnt trolling, what you talking about? |
OK fine not trolling just yelling shit like DON'T CLAP! |
well seriously. Who the fuck claps at a metal show? |
there were tons of first-timers there. there were kids in front of me giddy as schoolgirls whenever agalloch changed chords. |
wasnt a fan of the clapping. was a fan of agalloch's performance though. |
I hired you people to try to get a little track laid, not to jump around like a bunch of metaphysical Kansas City faggots. |
Haily 3, United States 0... you see it CAN be done. |
awesome...they killed it at the mid east last time with novembers doom and the gathering...when was that like 05? |
Wait, are you talking about "The Gathering" from the Netherlands? I can't imagine that you would be, as it would be one of the strangest bills ever, but then again, i don't think i've heard of another gathering. |
in b4 comment about atmosphere |
This show was such a good time! I honestly didn't know what to expect from the openers and I wasnt disappointed. Wasn't crazy about the second band but didn't dislike them. I thought the vocals in Worm Ouroboros sounded kinda like Portishead vocals (which I am a big fan of). The thing that really got me was whatever Agalloch was burning on stage... I have a really strong connection with smells and that smoke instantly transported me back about 15 years to the campground where I spent many summers. It was a good atmosphere all around... definitely set the mood for the music. |

yes he is talking about that The Gathering. November's Doom, Agalloch, and The Gathering headlined. i THINK that was like 03/04. pics should be on here. |
I saw the gathering play at the mideast the first time I saw Unexpect. What an odd lineup, I think it was just a label thing, similar to what it was in the gathering/agalloch show. |
i like worm o, but they're way better on recording than live. i didn't watch their whole set. i missed musk ox because i was in the stupid line to get in.
agalloch was great and i saw some people i never see anymore, so that was fun. |
yeah what was up with not opening the doors until 5 minutes before musk ox started? |
uggghhh. me lovie El Gatherino. |
I was mad I missed the beginning of Musk Ox. Outside of Agalloch, that was the band I wanted to see. Really nice and humble guy too. |
Agreed with aril on the clapping. Ya it's a show, lighten up etc, but the clapping during some of the clean parts was definitely cramping my style. |

I don't have a problem with applauding a band after a song. But to clap during a song? GTFO DuckDuckGoosers.
They were doing that shit at Opeth's 20th Anniversary show in NYC last April too. |
well seriously. Who the fuck plays duck duck goose at a metal show? |
dammit, i made that post before you said duck duck goosers |
Definitely had a great time last night. While it may not have surpassed the gig back in 2004, Agalloch still put on a hell of a show . Dead Winter Days is one of my favorite tracks from Pale Folklore, so that was probably the highlight of their set. |
But to clap during a song? GTFO
Someone's never seen blind guardian live before... |
I've seen it done before at many concerts. But it now it seems the norm for a bunch of padawan metalheads.
Regardless, I don't really care. Awesome show. |
In the Shadow of Our Clapping Companion |
what i REALLY hate: @ anything "Jazz-ish" (and i use that term very loosely of course) when people clap and cheer and yell at what they THINK is the end of a solo; when quite frequently it's actually just a sofly played interlude before the crescendo that would complete the soo. . but since everyone yelled and clapped, you can't hear the part that the player probably spent the most time working out. |
there was a lot of that last night, people clapping before a song was over. |
bands just need to start speaking out against clapping so we there can be an end to this faggotry. |
Or surly niggaz in the crowd can start pisscupping the offending faggots. |

Starting band called "Surly Pisscup Niggas", you're in it, get used to it. |

I'm willing to bet you are talking about me. I was flipping my shit. |
