It is with great displeasure that I make the first official announcement for the first annual NO LIFE FEST. Basically a shit house line up of the worst of the worst New England has to offer.

Two days. Too many bands. Too many headaches. Too fucking bad.

Each day:
18+
$10 to drink - $12 without ID
Doors are at 5PM-first band at 6PM

More details, bands, flyer, technicalities to follow. Get fucked.

For whatever reason, I'm picking absolute GOLD out of each nostril today! They're firm and delicious. One was even kind of crunchy! I love to mash then up between my incisors till they're completely pulverized. My favorites - well, gosh, tough to pick just one booger type as a favorite - but my favorites are the complex boogers that have a hard core surrounded by a viscous "yoke". IPSISSIMUS update: Album title revealed
The New Haven, CT based black metal band IPSISSIMUS are currently putting the finishing touches on the band’s Metal Blade debut, The Way of Descent, which will be released in the spring. Drummer Haimatokharmes has just issued the following update, " IPSISSIMUS’ debut album with Metal Blade will be entitled The Way of Descent - the title aims to encapsulate the lyrical matter of the new songs, which deal with various katagogic themes in Gnostic, Luciferian, and Merkavah traditions as applied to Left Hand ethics and praxis. We finished the recording in October and the beginning of November at Sonic Environments Studios with our 'sonic alchemist,' (producer and mixer) Jeff Weed. It's an interesting sound, at turns raw and filthy, yet also warm and spacious, which I suppose is fitting for hymns to the abyss. Expect some traditional black, melodic riffage à la the 'Fatima' material as well as the occasional avant-garde element - I believe this will be the first black metal album to employ a waterphone."

IPSISSIMUS is also excited announce that they will be providing direct support for Toxic Holocaust Jan. 13, 2011, at Daniel St. in Milford, CT. The last time I played a show on Revere Beach Parkway I had a crew of steroid junky bouncers breathing down my neck the whole time, the biggest one of which picked a fight with the smallest dude in my band. When the bouncer realized he was too fat to chase him down Revere Beach he called the cops and told them my guitarist had punched a female bartender. Luckily the guy who booked the show overheard it, and tipped us off with enough time to grab our gear and leave. I ended up driving the wrong way down a one way street to dodge a road block where state troopers were searching cars looking for my guitarist.

Can't wait.

There's a pizza place connected to the building. I haven't had the seafood in the area but I have looked into it and it ranges from cheap and low quality to nice and good quality with an early bird special, toward the end of the beach. And yes, the back door leads out to a fenced in, elevated patio where you can drink while you smoke. I'll be at day 2, interested to see how the bands make use of the stage.

Doyle's is next door.. Good stuff, I always get the bison burger with sweet potato fries although they have a killer reuben.. Dogwood Cafe is down the street, good stuff.

Not much for grub down near Midway though.

All of these places aren't too far though, especially if you are in a car:

Real Deal
JP Seafood Cafe (sushi)
The Haven (Scottish fare)
Bella Luna (American pub food in a faggy enviroment)
Ghazal (EXCELLENT Indian)
Galway House (homestyle pub food done right, also my favorite bar in JP)
