Haha, funny you say that. My son came in to check the pics and we both said he looked retarded. The zombie I posted looks like a dead Kevin Bacon.

The trailer is fucking sweet. It made me wet and I don't even have a vagina. I like how everyone in the movie theater applauded and yelled at the end of the trailer.

Although the way it begins rips off 28 Days Later (unless the graphic novel came out first, I'm not sure), I'm still stoked for this.

1st thing I thought of was 28 days later also. Good point though, Not sure which came 1st. I can't wait for October mang!

I'm gonna look that up at some point, but either way this is gonna be sick. I might go to Newbury Comics and by one of those right now actually.

they both came out within a few months of each other in 2003, so it's probably just coincidence.
you can usually get a bunch of the trades for a lot cheaper on ebay. i guarantee that after reading the first couple, you'll be in the store every week getting more.

This graphic novel came out well after I stopped reading comics, but I've heard great things

Although I will say Greg's 28 Days Later comment is spot on...that part with the zombies crawling on the tank also reminded me of the Dawn of the Dead remake when they were riding around in that suped up van

That being said, zombies are awesome, and I'll most likely watch this

Great comic and TV show is looking good so far it's just to bad it's not on showtime to display some the more fucked scenes from the story

The biggest mistake the show could make is not following the comics story line. Seasons worth of fantastic material is already story boarded out for them.

Holy shit, I never even thought of the Dawn of the Dead reference there.

Just pulled this from DreadCentral;

Today AMC announced details of "The Walking Dead" panel event taking place at the New York Comic Con on Sunday, October 10, featuring a first look at full scenes from the upcoming series. Additionally they've released a brand new behind-the-scenes sizzle reel that of course we have for you right here!

From the Press Release:
During New York Comic Con, taking place October 8-10, 2010, at the Jacob K. Javits Center, AMC will premiere the first full scenes from the network’s highly anticipated series, “The Walking Dead.” In addition to the exclusive preview, the stars and producers of the drama, based on the comic book written by Robert Kirkman, will be present for a panel scheduled for Sunday, October 10 at 2:15 pm in the IGN Theater.

The event will include series stars Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually), Jon Bernthal (“The Pacific”), Sarah Wayne Callies (“Prison Break”), Laurie Holden (The Mist), and Steven Yeun (“The Big Bang Theory”). Joining the cast are writer, director, executive producer and three-time Academy Award nominee Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) and executive producers Robert Kirkman and Gale Anne Hurd (The Terminator, Aliens, Armageddon). “The Walking Dead” will premiere on Halloween at 10:00 pm EST on AMC.

During the 90-minute event moderator Eric Moro of IGN.com will lead panelists in a discussion about their experience shooting “The Walking Dead” and the process of bringing Kirkman’s comic book to life on the small screen, among other topics. The panel will be followed by a Q&A session with attendees.

“The Walking Dead” tells the story of the weeks and months that follow after a zombie apocalypse. County Sheriff Rick Grimes (Lincoln) travels with his family and a small group of survivors, constantly in search of a safe and secure home. But the constant pressure of fighting off death on a daily basis takes a heavy toll, sending many to the lowest depths of human cruelty. As Rick struggles to keep his family alive, he will discover that the overwhelming fear of the survivors can be far more dangerous than the mindless walkers roaming the earth.
