all i know is this buffalo/boston series is going to be a stressful one. 4 of the 5 games they have played this season have been decided by only 1 goal. both teams are relying on their goal-tending, and both are beat the fuck up. i guess we will see what happens. GO BRUINS!!!
did anyone else see that Derek Morris had 1 goal and 2 assists for Phoenix?! im so glad we traded him to pick up a dude who is on IR right now! i mean good for him, but i really wish we kept him. i guess thats easy to say now that seidenberg is hurt.

not for nothing, but before Seidenberg got hurt, he was playing MUCH better than Morris was when he was here.....it was a definite upgrade after everyone was saying that that trade was a "lateral" move....plus, one good game does not make a player better than he is
agreed. i'm not mad that they called those penalties on the bruins. i'm just mad that they didn't call them on the sabres. make consistent calls or you're a pussy.

true. hopefully he will stick around next season.

fuck the penalties the bruins should have played a better game. but ive been watching them lose these types of games all season. im not surprised. they play better than the other team overall but make a couple mistakes on D and have trouble getting the puck in the net even though they spend more than half the game in the offensive zone, and in the end lose a 1 point game. its frustrating as hell. hopefully we will put together a better performance for game 2. that second period was solid. hopefully someone will figure out a way to beat Miller. Did anyone catch Boychuck almost bank it off his back? maybe thats how you have to do it?! dude is insane in net.

I don't see them making it past the eastern conference. They just don't have the type of offense that's needed. They can have some of the best goal tending in the league but you can't win if you can't score goals. Stupid mistakes just make things worse too. Now is not the time to be making bad plays.
They need to get Miller moving post to post more and get guys in front of the net to go top shelf on him. Firing from the blue line or the slot straight at the guy's chest isn't effective. He doesn't give up the rebounds that are needed.

Hopefully they will pick up some better play makers and goal scorers for next season. I think it's been proven that they've been relying on Savard too much for that.
Which reminds me. What the hell is going on with him? Haven't heard anything about his condition.
Hockey Rule #1, always keep your head up. This is why.
I still don't quite get what the hell is going on with the officials in this series. Been really one sided so far. Why did Ferrence get a misconduct for basically not fighting back? He just looked at the officials like "WTF are you going to call anything?"

yeah i never really heard an explanation for that. pretty fucked up. maybe we'll find out from post game stuff.
They just said that was Satan's second game winning goal in the playoffs. The first? 11 years ago. Now that's a silly stat.
I thought they said his second overtime winning goal.

Almost feel a little bad for Miller on that one. Shitty feeling when you play that good but don't come away with the win. The 2010 Olympics come to mind...

yes he played great, but the bruins wanted it more tonight. they played w/ more heart and they deserved the W. miller was ridiculous though, robbed us so many times. he is the sabres team as far as i'm concerned, they'd be so fucked w/o him.

well, now he knows how Rask has felt pretty much all season lol

Am I the only one that get's nervous anytime Chara handles the puck?
I decided to follow the rest of the Bruins post-season run considering there is officially nothing interesting in football for another several months because playoff hockey really is the shit. Look forward to some hardcore fairweather fanning coming from my direction.

mike, this team is so easy to get into. beware. i was a recreational watcher last year after missing a few seasons after the Bourque and Neely years, and i think i missed three games all season this year. especially in the playoffs they play with so much energy and it seems like its their supposed weakest players are the ones who tend to play their best when it counts the most. im so happy with the way everyone on the team stepped up with Savard, Stuart, and Seidenberg out for this series. we had a rough season. didnt play nearly as well as we should have, or as well as last year but right now we have a shot! i was definitely impressed with the way that they were able to put Buffalo away. HAIL SATAN!!! all i keep thinking is that its still a possibility that we could possibly see a Boston/Montreal eastern conference series!

glad to see that my post in the NFL draft thread finally makes sense to you now.

i would love to see a boston-montreal eastern conference finals. beating the habs with a stanley cup finals berth at stake would be almost as good as actually bringing stanley home.

It would be similar to the 2004 World Series playoffs. The Sox beating the Yankees to get to the series was almost as good as winning the series itself.

Out of curiosity, how much are loge section tickets going for?
i'd love to see playoff hockey live. maybe someday. seeing the Celtics destroy the Hawks in the first Round of the playoffs a few years ago was magical.
Game 1 Round 2 - first period just ended. philly are sucking shit right now. i'm happy. we're skating circles around them out there, its almost painful to watch. except not at all.
this sucks but we played 1/2 the season w/o savard and made it this deep into the playoffs w/o him basically. bummer about krejci but its not like the team is dead because he's out. far from down and out at this point.
they'll beat philly, but without krejci, it'll be hard to get through the next round and even harder to beat san jose/vancouver/chicago if the b's miraculously get to the finals.

agreed
agreed, harder but that being said i still don't think the loss of krejci is reason enough to throw in the proverbial towel as a fan.
dreadkill is still mad because Thomas ain't the backstop anymore
i'm not mad at all. thomas wasn't bad this year, but tuukka earned the job.while i'm sad that timtom's days are numbered, it truly is tuukka time. i'm actually pretty proud of this team, dealing with all the injuries and then battling into playoff position, taking out buffalo, and putting philly into a 3-0 hole. they could get swept in the next round and i'd call the season a huge success considering where they were in January and also taking into consideration the 2nd round playoff disappointment of last year. i haven't been this pleased with the bruins since i was a kid.
I'm thinking about lacing up and skating out just so I can show dan carcillo what's up. godzilla probably feels the same way. I'd love to smash carcillos head in
being originally from oakland, i dont know how to ice skate that well, but im not too worried about skating at all. carcillo is a cry baby cunt and needs to be taken out with extreme prejudice.
I hear you.. I'm originally from Texas and can't skate well either but I would love to (or watch him) get his face broken in multiple places.
I have a feeling someone will fight him tomorrow night just to do it before the series is over
i wanna see lucic, thornton and chara jump carcillo. move to richards and then pronger. either that or someone should just blow up the rink while philly is practicing.. just sayin
wahh wahh. my name is daniel, and NO ONE likes me :'(
if it ends up being the pens and Bs next round, im pretty positive that there will be blood on the ice. as for savard, i have a slight feeling that he will exact his revenge upon cooke. boston style. WE WANT BLOOD ON THE ICE!
post by W3 nli at May 6,2010 3:51pm
I seriously doubt anyone will attack Cooke unless the series is locked up and still I doubt anything will go down since they don't wanna be suspended for the FINALS which is what this is all about winning LORD STANLEY'S CUP. BRING IT HOME BOYS, BRING THE CUP BACK WHERE IT BELONGS.
post by W3 nli at May 6,2010 3:53pm
and with all that said I would enjoy seeing Cooke's face smashed thru the glass repeatedily
FUCK ALL OF YOU YOUR ALL PUSSIES. WHO MAKES THE REAL MONEY HERE? OH THATS RIGHT ME. FUCK YOU

HEY CARCILLO, HOW DO MY SLOPPY SECONDS TASTE? COOKE WAS MY BITCH BEFORE HE WAS YOURS. I MAKE MORE MONEY THAN YOU AND MY INTERNSHIP WITH VOGUE MAGAZINE HAS ME SET UP TO MAKE BIG MONEY AFTER THIS HOCKEY SHIT IS DONE AND I START RELEASING MY LINE OF READY TO WEAR LADIES' FASHIONS!

WILL YOU TWO FAGGOTS QUIT POSTING AND HELP ME RIG THIS SPINNAKER IN CHOPPY SEAS WITH A NASTY GUST AT NIGHT. WHOAAAAAAA LOST MY BALANCE THERE, THAT WAS A CLOSE ON *SPLASH*
Been waiting for someone to cash in on "Hail Satan". Surprised it has taken this long. Haven't seen any signs during games or anything.
post by cav nli at May 6,2010 6:37pm
hearing that krejci is out for the season ruined my day. fuck fuck fuck fuck he has been such an important part of this team. but if anyone knows how to overcome injuries this season its been the fuckin bruins. one more game to the eastern conference finals! i hope they embarrass the flyers with a sweep. fuck that team. i wish we could lay richards out for that hit!
i actually opted out of taking my two previous signs to game 2 and made a hail satan one. after he scored, i was holding it up and they put it on the jumbotron. no bullshit either

you know, I havent been to a hockey game since I got in this fackin town. its the only sport I really like, unless you count wrestling. next season, I vote metal head field trip. we'll bring the wind.
That was pathetic. I think I counted maybe 10 shots for the bruins. Even given the gift of a cold goaltender they couldn't put at least ONE in the net.
post by GUY at May 10,2010 11:21pm edited May 10,2010 11:21pm
the Bruins have honored the great Bobby Orr on before two separate games this year, and both games they managed to get shutout
then bobby better lace em up and get out on the ice next time. they could've used him tonight.
post by sigh at May 10,2010 11:32pm
I expected to see Tim in the third when I saw him stretching out before it started. I don't think you could really blame Tuuka on those goals against except for maybe the last one. You can't really do much against redirections once you are already down. He could have stopped that breakaway goal if he played the angle better.
I suppose it wouldn't have really mattered changing goaltenders since the bruins had zero offense and were coasting to the puck instead of hustling for it.
can someone tell me how out of the 4 major sports in this country, none of them can get good referees?
i know. it's really ridiculous how bad the officiating is in almost every sporting event i watch. the nfl refs work normal jobs in the offseason, so it's easy to see why they would suck, but i don't see a good excuse from the other sports.
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. that was pretty awful. better pull their shit together for game 7.
post by RustyPS at May 12,2010 10:58pm edited May 12,2010 10:58pm
it is unbelievable that it took 5 periods and a goalie pull to score on a guy that hadn't played in 2 months before Monday....utterly ridiculous
post by sigh at May 13,2010 11:59am
Typical bruins fashion. Get the fans hopes up and then take a giant dump on the chances of winning the Stanley cup. A team of "almosts".
Way to blow a 3-0 series lead you hosers. Should we call up some help from pee wee youth hockey? Watching these games is painful. I actually thought to myself I could be doing better than these guys at a few points and I haven't skated in years.
I want to see Bruins vs Canadians in the finals damn it!
i wish semen guzzler (simon gagne) was dead. i fucking hate him and briere, who looks like splinter from the ninja turtles if the rat was mutated with paul mccartney instead of a jap.
bruins should be fucking embarrassed! that was the most disappointing sporting event i have ever watched in my life. we were 3 goals up on our way to playing montreal in the conference finals! what a fuckin tease. without krejci and sturm i dont know how much of a chance they had but i at least wanted to see the series.
