this is going to be the tits. i've got an interview w/ veil of maya that i'm pumped for. linkage to follow later on. less than stoked on emmure being added to this lineup though, really dig most of the bill and now i have to sit through that garbage. :/ oh well, should still be pretty fun regardless.
stray from the path is on now. they did their RATM cover song of bull's on parade. the awesomest part of that was that they started it off with a sample of "human behavior" by bjork that played while they tuned. the worst thig about their set was me realizing i shot the whole thing @ ISO 5000 instead of ISO 1600.
the ghost inside had a bunch of issues with the mics when they started. most of the picture taking time was them saying "wtf!" about monitors and mics. they had so many people singing along for them. that was pretty crazy.
something happened during the end of their set that caused all the security to run into the crowd. no clue what happened. probably all the brutal bass drops had an undesired effect onn the crowd.
shows like this that make me want to be at the beach. idk why, but i would like to be having an endless summer right now.
carnifex look more like suicide silence now. imho the best think about this band is their drummer, but alas, i could not get a picture of him. the bass drops during their set are almost killing me.
Well, stick to your guys sound like they are going with more of a straight hardcore band. They only played one song that had clean vocals. They also added the jumping guitarist from walls of jericho. The singer reminded me of a mixture of the singer from trapped under ice (he's wearing one of their shirts too) and guns up. They fixed the mic problems for them. The singer lead a chant of yankees suck, but turned it into "baseball sucks" and then there was yet another fight that pulled all the security into the pit. Baseball does suck. Watching sports sucks. Any how. The new songs they played were a million times better than the old songs they played. Their last song was madly crowd surfed. The singer jumped off the stage into the crowd. It was sort of a mess.
I made sure to go pee before emmure got on stage. I didn't want to piss AND crap my pants when they hit the brown note. Their set feels like a train is going through my colon. They had some technical difficulties that made them go on 10 minutes late. The bass player kept dragging his bass across the ground while playing. I also don't get why the singer talks about decpticons before that song. Is he saying all the bad guys are his peeps? The second their set ended... 1/2 the crowd turned around and walked out. That was weird.
emmure is an atticus band. i dont think there were many pre-sales for this show. i also hope this doesnt go late.
guess that explains it.
this show was pretty solid overall i thought. could've done w/o emmure, they blow goats IMO. and the fact that half the place left after emmure before unearth even played is fucking nauseating. its a hometown show for unearth and everyone left. fucking disgraceful.
that guitarist from veil of maya is ridiculous. I really liked a bunch of his riffs that he came up with kept their songs really interesting. Also, i got a bunch of shots of you in the front row.
Man this show was great. Fucking great bands all around, can't wait to see the pics!
Same here girlfriend, teehee
hell yea guys, this was more fun than the time i slipped and fell into the arms of Rich Bova at a Suicide Silence!
man i especially liked the part where unearths drummer rammed BOTH his drumsticks into my rectum and his cock down my throat while making me recite the lyrics to "poker face" and slapping my ass with a pizza made out of mozzarella cheese, bbq sauce, and a dvd copy of "the curse of the seven golden vampires"
