EXCITEMENT! We lost last night but the team still looked pretty strong. Sheed was on point and Daniels did some good work. Also this Mike Sweetney dude is a fucking freight-train - I'm pretty sure we just have him to counter-Shaq.

Discuss.

The East is stacked this year. Celtics should definitely be the favs, unless someone gets hurt again.

I don't like how we face the Cavs on the last preseason game and then face them on the first game.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Oct 8,2009 11:51am
wuuuhh? that is kinda dumb

toggletoggle post by aril at Oct 8,2009 11:54am
i think they're trying to build an east rivalry with us and the cavs.
'course when lebron james signs with the knicks that'll change

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Oct 8,2009 11:55am
bronzo is staying in cleveland. he won't sign with the 'bockers.

toggletoggle post by aril at Oct 8,2009 11:56am
no way man. I think all things point at him getting out of cleveland. he's never really given a straight answer and he always wears NYC shit. somebody bump this thread when it happens

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Oct 8,2009 11:58am
i'd say he goes to the nets before he goes to the bockers

just found it out its like a practice/exhibition game in Lowell. still should be a fun-ass time.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Oct 26,2009 2:25pm
I just updated my cable bill so I can get all the games.

Comcast has a special that has Showtime channels for 5 bucks a month now.

Any good Showtime late-night pr0n these days? I haven't watched those channels in quite sometime. I remember having a hot box in the 90s and watching Pay-Per-View late at night. FTW.

Softcore pr0n is better. At least it used to be. I'd like to see more woman than man, please.

toggletoggle post by timma at Oct 26,2009 2:49pm
Pumped for this game tonight. I predict double-doubles for Rondo and Garnett, and a minimum of 14 technicals for 'Sheed.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Oct 26,2009 2:50pm
There's a game tonight?

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Oct 26,2009 5:01pm
barring injury, the only team that worries me in the whole league is LA...IMO they have the best first 6 (Kobe, Artest, Fisher, Gasol, Bynum, Odom), and that includes Boston

but Boston should take the East

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Oct 26,2009 7:37pm
btw the Cs season opener is tomorrow, not tonight

toggletoggle post by Timma at Oct 26,2009 8:54pm

word is big baby is out for at least 2 months with a fractured thumb. I guess he got into some fight with an ex-teammate or something. idiotic; not even a basketball injury

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Oct 27,2009 1:19am
wtf fag

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Oct 27,2009 10:01am
Big Baby will be facing a suspension by the team (they're pissed off), and Rondo's agent doesn't want the deal the Celtics want. They've got to resign him by Friday or he'll be a restricted free agent at the end of the season.
His agent thinks he should be one of the top 5 - highest paid PGs in the game. The Celts disagree. I don't think he's worth more than 12million a year... yet.

timma said[orig][quote]

there's no issue, they won't resign him....considering they can fill his salary slot with one of the 15-20 max contract free agents coming up next offseason

younger yes...better? arguable

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Oct 27,2009 11:21am
the list includes: LeBron (prob staying home, but technically he'll be a free agent after this season), Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Joe Johnson, Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, Carlos Boozer, Dirk Nowitzki, Amare Stoudamire, Manu Ginobili

I think I'm missing some big names, but you get the point

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Oct 27,2009 6:29pm
Lulz at Tracy mcgrady and Yao.

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Oct 27,2009 6:34pm
I'm not saying all those guys are better than Ray, but they're big name players that are available after this season....and I'm pretty sure all of them are younger than Ray

toggletoggle post by aril at Oct 27,2009 7:55pm
I can't believe these ref-fags didn't call that "block" on rondo a foul. Lebron gets every call.

toggletoggle post by quintessence  at Oct 28,2009 3:13am
That was a clean block I thought. Lebron is a fucking beast. I hope hes on roids or something and get caught. Great start to our 18th championship season by finally beating the cavs in their house tonight!

I know what play you're talking about, and that was all ball. His shot blocking is over the top.

toggletoggle post by aril at Oct 28,2009 8:33am
No way. His forearm pushed rondo on the ground. Clean block, but not clean pushoff

toggletoggle post by MikeOfDecrepitude at Oct 28,2009 8:38am
He pinned the ball to the backboard, they were in mid-air, so you had to expect them to converge into each other.

toggletoggle post by MikeOfDecrepitude at Oct 28,2009 8:42am
Rondo initially started off the game making amateur mistakes. One pass he made was almost difficult to watch. But as the game progressed, he looked nasty. He made some great, fast plays happen.

Who knows. We still got a chance.
We could all shoot better 3s than sheed though.

toggletoggle post by quintessence  at Feb 19,2010 5:42pm
We have a chance but lets face it. Beating the Cavs, magic or hawks in a best of 7 is just not going to happen. We are too old, too tired, give up way too many rebounds and take naps on defense, not to mention go cold on offense for long stretches. Every team in the league knows if they just hang around with us they can get back into the game and win. Its sad. We don't scare anyone anymore.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Feb 19,2010 5:45pm

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Feb 19,2010 6:20pm

toggletoggle post by quintessence  at Feb 19,2010 6:39pm
I say we get some MLB players to "train" those boys back into shape with some natural supplements...I bet Labron does it.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Feb 19,2010 6:40pm
Of course he does. That dude gets every call as well. He was complaining to the refs at the all star game. He will be a knick next year I bet.

toggletoggle post by quintessence  at Feb 19,2010 7:11pm
I loved watching him loose to the Nugs last night. My second favorite team after the celtics. He looked like he was going to cry and ran off the court before anyone could interview him.

toggletoggle post by ArilliusBM  at Feb 19,2010 7:22pm
hahaha, you saw that? He definitely ran off crying hahaha

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Feb 19,2010 9:23pm edited Feb 19,2010 9:24pm
i love listening to sports hub and hearing al the idiots crying about how bad the celtics are now and how ray allen sucks and kg is a bad contract. boston sports fans forget about championships really quickly. when the celtics lost out on the chance to draft durant, ainge decided to mortgage the future for the present and try to go for it before pierce got old. the gamble worked out. two years later, that mortgaged future is now the present. the bill came due and danny's paying it. no celtics fan can honestly tell me they didn't expect this day to come. maybe allen hit the wall faster than we expected and kg has been aged by injuries, but they're not young guys. they were going to get old sometime soon. it's like buying a bunch of awesome stuff on your credit card and expecting the credit card company to never send you a bill.

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Feb 19,2010 10:19pm

toggletoggle post by quintessence  at Feb 27,2010 5:00pm

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Feb 27,2010 6:56pm

Baseball season now!

toggletoggle post by LPCustom at Feb 27,2010 8:30pm
Today hurt. Garnett was looking pretty good but looked like he was in quite a bit of pain - I smell another stretch of not playing for him soon... I went to the Cavs game Thursday and they literally played the best half of basketball I've seen them play in quite a long time (1st half - like Championship level for real) and than they shamefully blow that game and get laughed out of the building today! Are they just fucking with us at this point? The team that left the court at halftime Thursday hasn't returned since (or really been around all season it seems like)!
