(it'll probably sell out so get tickets in advance. Johnny Cupcakes has a bizarrely huge following of minions who come to these things to get the limited edition $40 t-shirt based on the Goonies with a Cupcake on it...)

i'm quivering with anticipation. seeing The Goonies on the big screen will be a life achievement.

its weird because I've seen kids wearing Johnny Cupcakes gear at the K-8 school I work for...it's very, very odd

best part about the goonies:

when they rip up the papers at the end of the movie and toss up it up in the air, someone definitely tosses more paper into the bunch. so obvious.

I think i did too, although i barely remember it..

i think i saw it in the theaters too, but i would've been 5 when it came out, so i'm not sure.

i know for sure that i saw ET and Big in the theater.

I saw Empire Strikes Back at a drive-in -- BEAT THAT FOR EPIC KVLTNESS.

me too ..but it was the rerelease. for bonus points it was in the Worcester Downtown Cinema. i dont know if you guys remember but that theater was fucking awesome (now the Hanover theater)
