Both gigs would be May, 2nd. If that's true, that's so fucked up.

toggletoggle post by W3 @ work at Mar 26,2009 9:27am
no care

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Mar 26,2009 9:33am
ah crap...looks like i miss Gojira for the 9809283610928 time.

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Mar 26,2009 9:35am
Yep, and headlining this time like you wished for. It's their turn to have crappy bands opening for them.

"Shit Smeller"

- King RTL

toggletoggle post by boblovesmusic   at Mar 26,2009 10:10am
Going with Opeth on this one for the House of Blues will probably have the better sound (and it's closer!)

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Mar 26,2009 10:23am
That's what I call a dilemma

toggletoggle post by ScumFuck at Mar 26,2009 10:25am
opeth/enslaved wins it. mostly for the band but partially for the location

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Mar 26,2009 10:26am
Personally, I'd say Enslaved wins it because Opeth was probably better to see a few years ago

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Mar 26,2009 10:29am
i can't wait for Opeth and Enslaved.

toggletoggle post by boblovesmusic   at Mar 26,2009 10:49am
Does anyone know if you can purchase tickets in person? Figured I'd try to avoid the ridiculous service fees (or at least most of them)

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Mar 26,2009 10:54am
people dont exist anymore - everything is compooters

toggletoggle post by boblovesmusic   at Mar 26,2009 11:06am
DANGER WILL ROBINSON DANGER!

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Mar 26,2009 11:32am
Where do you buy your tickets usually ? Tickets.com ?

toggletoggle post by darkwor  at Mar 26,2009 11:35am
Gojira is awesome, but Enslaved always wins. I'll sit through anything to see them, including Opeth.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Mar 26,2009 11:49am
Is it just Enslaved and Opeth or is there a faggot opener?

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Mar 26,2009 12:40pm
i'm sure there is a faggot opener.

toggletoggle post by Eli_hhcb at Mar 26,2009 1:33pm
Gojira is whacky. I never could decide if I really liked it, or really hated it.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Mar 26,2009 1:50pm
i'm with you eli. i've tried to get into that band but i can't seem to. they aren't bad, they aren't great. they just are. maybe a few more listens will help me make up my mind.

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Mar 26,2009 1:53pm
Try their latest cd

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Mar 26,2009 1:57pm
i have it. it hasn't really hit me, but i don't think i've given it enough of a chance.

toggletoggle post by darkwor  at Mar 26,2009 1:58pm
From Mars to Sirius is their best imho.

toggletoggle post by quintessence  at Mar 26,2009 1:59pm
I think I would rather see Midnight in Providence on that night. I'd like to see Enslaved, but I don't want to sit through opeth and pay 30+ bucks.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Mar 26,2009 1:59pm
i love Gojira. Much more so than either Opeth or Enslaved.

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Mar 26,2009 2:00pm
Yeah, some cds hit you on the first listen and some take more time. They have a good reputation on stage too.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Mar 26,2009 2:02pm
they are wonderful on stage. They killed it at the palladium last summer.

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Mar 26,2009 2:03pm
I hope they're gonna kill it next time too, I've never seen them yet.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Mar 26,2009 2:10pm
i saw gojira live a few years ago and was kind of bored by it.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Mar 26,2009 2:10pm
well i am kinda bored by you.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Mar 26,2009 2:15pm
i'm bored by your boring boredom

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Mar 26,2009 2:21pm
shit just got real.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Mar 26,2009 2:28pm
real boring?

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Mar 26,2009 2:29pm edited Mar 26,2009 2:30pm
Boring like the latest Opeth cds ?

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Mar 26,2009 2:35pm
ah hell no!

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Mar 26,2009 2:40pm
Gojira should be opening this show

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Mar 26,2009 2:52pm
though they deserve a headlining tour too

Enslaved is supporting.

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Mar 26,2009 4:03pm
By the way, are Korkiplani and Eluveitie playing after moonsorrow and primordial on the paganfest ? If that's so, that's another blasphemy.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Mar 26,2009 4:04pm
korpiklaani is headlining and eluveitie isn't on the tour anymore, which means all the other bands get longer sets.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Mar 26,2009 4:05pm
i wish all the paganfest bands would get a half hour, except primordial and moonsorrow, who would get 2 hours each.

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Mar 26,2009 4:10pm
that's some fucking good news about Eluveitie but I don't get why Korkiplani is headlining. Primordial and moonsorrow should indeed play longer than all the other bands. They're not releasing the same album every year like Corkyplani

they deserve to play with non shitty bands as well.

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Mar 26,2009 4:19pm
You're absolutely right. I didn't know the two opening bands for the upcoming tour, I listened to both and arg, I don't know what they're doing there except giving us time to do something else before Gojira.

toggletoggle post by JackGrants at Apr 15,2009 11:35am
Is there any chance the Gojira gig could be sold out ? It's just to know if I should take tickets in advance.
