the bonus army was good, but didn't get the required crowd response to make their set outstanding. there were a few people constantly moshing, but not as many as th usually illicit.
contender then played (on the stage). rocky hardcore. not too many moshy parts. the audience just sort o stood there arms folded. I think this band will get a better reaction once they play more shows. I think $1 the demo should be liberally tossed out to speed their saturation.
I thought that the new lows got a new singer. he has a three muskateers mustache now. they played on the floor which increased the moshing collisions everywhere. at some point, the mic cable clothslined the whole drum set. a 1 in a million shot as the chord nested right into a crack in one of the cymbols.
the carrier's set was a constant sing along. from the times I've seen them lately, the crowd response was on par. I took way too many pictures of people with braces up front there.
the carrier singer said that shipwreck was next, but it was OBW. makes sense cause I think there are a lot more people hwere to see shipwreck. still, the floor was completely filled with moshers from their set. plenty of people who knew EVERY song. I don't think it hurt that they played all old songs. the surprise to me was the first song. they covered bulls on parade and it was spot on. even the dj-scratching things that were done out on one of the guitars. they also had a new guitarist that I didn't know.
BMH played pretty good at their Fallen Friends benefit set, but compared to tonight... Well, there is no comparison. After many bass related technical issues, they played one of he strongest sets I have ever seen them do. The crowd was on it for every song and the two "hits" they played garnered the largest pile ups of the night. they even got everyone in the room two stepping in unison like an exercise video.

good show. i left before shipwreck cause i craving chipotle and I knew they closed at 10..got there just in time.
told you doors wouldnt open at 5! luckily I got there at 6sh right when they let everyone in and there wasnt a long wait for the bonus army.
-bonus army- horrible sound for them. couldnt really make out anything but it was still decent.
-whatever the second band was sucked balls. no care.
-new lows RULED. i never really got the hype around that band but I really enjoyed their set. they got some crazy mosh.
-carrier- holy shit they got a huuuuuuuge reaction from the crowd. everytime I saw them in brockton they barely even got 2 people to mosh. they played for way to long though
-on broken wings- they were ok. tons of mosh of course
-black my heart played their typical 5 song set. good stuff.
Wish i could have been at this, wanted to see the carrier.

well looking at these pictures has given me the ability to update my hardcore fashion. Looks like bead necklaces are back in, and the oversized white t shirt and longsleeve is stylish. I think the guitarist from black my heart looked better with two blacks eyes though. I hope most of those bands die in a really disgusting car accident.

oh yeah, I forgot none of the good hardcore bands reside in boston. Actually I dont think I would call the bands on this show hardcore. Its just plain old jump riffing nu- metal. So ill change my response to ALL.
