Yes, this band is no more… but I just started doing this thing and I can appreciate dead bands, thank you very much.
The automata started back in 2000. I got to see them at the first chariots of fire.
Chariots of fire was sort of a turning point for rttp. so many bands were on that show. Tons that i was exposed to for the first time.
Anyhow, the automata started in 2000
http://www.returntothepit.com/media.php?id...march162002&pic=the_automata010.jpg As i said, i saw them for the first time in 2002. At that point, they had a very rowdy bunch of fans. Oh, the fun times and discussions that followed on internet message boards…
After that, i saw hem multiple times.
Exit 23 was always a good time with them
Including a date on RTTP, they came in after running a muck in dover.
That set was great. They play songs from their soon to be released CD.
They also played at the RTTP 6 year anniversary show which went down on sept 9 2002
All of the members went their own ways after one last show in 2002 at the imfamous lawrence mass KOC show. (dec 6 2002 you know the one I’m talking about)
Since then, automata members have popped up in a ton of other projects:
Terminally Your Aborted Ghost
Back of tha neck
summit
and my lil brother is the bassist for sedate, we have different last names though. but no one else in my family is musically inclined nor do they support musicians in anyway. the bastards.
