THE MEATMEN ANNOUNCE "MONSTERHATE IN 08" TOUR DATES!
Legendary punks THE MEATMEN have gone back on the attack! The MonsterHate in 08 campaign kicked off on Saturday, March 1, in front of a crowd of wild derelicts in the band's original homebase of Lansing, Michigan. The drunk and disorderly mob was treated to a full range of MEATMEN classics, including "Crippled Children Suck", "Tooling for Anus", and "Lesbian Death Dirge". The band also performed a few surprise cover songs and proved that its penchant for confetti, flamboyant costumes, and rubber penises has only intensified with age.
Fronted by the fearless and inimitable Dutch Hercules himself, TESCO VEE, the Men of Meat will be bringing their spectacle of tasteless rock and roll to US cities this spring, backed up by an extensive reissue campaign of the band's back-catalog. Pope on a Rope, Rock and Roll Juggernaut, and We're the Meatmen... and You Still Suck! are all available from Tesco Vee's own Meat King Records, and can be purchased online (www.tescovee.com) and at the band's upcoming shows.
During a career spanning over 20 years and as many bandmembers, THE MEATMEN have shared the stage with a who's-who of punk and metal bands, including Minor Threat, Negative Approach, Gwar, Bad Brains, and the Misfits. In an age of increasingly ill-founded political correctness and ass-kissing within the music industry, the belligerent and boisterous voice of THE MEATMEN is needed now more than ever.
