this is the first metal show there since it switched over to the new venue, so if you wanna see more shows there or even get the chance to play more shows there. go and support this, pvd is short on venues as is. this is your chance to help promote the start of a new venue.

club hell aka club babyhead
73 Richmond St., Providence, RI 02904
this isnt about getting more bands on this show, the club wants to know people want metal/punk/hardcore or whatever type shows there. if people dont show up to this there wont be a next show. this took keith and other people a lot of talking to get the club to do this.
I also didnt book the show, the bands playing pretty much have members in them that over the last couple years tried to get this night in motion. This will be a normal thing if a good crowd shows up.
Everyone bitches about Babyhead being over, well...here's the chance to get Hell booking shows again instead of just providing a second home to obese goth girls.
doors are at 9, so what time do you guys expect the bands to start? i have class in new bedford until 9 on monday nights and i don't want to miss the accursed. i imagine the music will start around 9:30 or 10, so i probably won't miss any of the bands.
My friends are always trying to drag me to this place for 80s night or some stupid shit like that. Now I'll actually have a reason to go, I'll make sure I'm at this as well.
who cares about the name? babyhead was a stupid name, club hell is a cheesy name. as long as they do shows, they can call it club cuntrot for all i care.

this show is going to be fucking cool, where are we going to set up?? on the dance floor? if so can we have naked girls dance in the cage and the platforms while we play?

sweet we were gonna put it out as a massive 20/30 song disk this spring. we were gonna be doing a split with Maruta but their label had just signed some other band and wanted the split to be with them.
do you have a place for this or do you want me to try to have it at the new wave?
yeah if you wouldnt mind, im just about to start a job so im gonna start looking for a hall to rent around boston so we can do something all ages. but if you could get it down there too. we could do a could big metal shows with different types of metal on'em.
just go to millers and say fuck the new wave over the mic. in front of that bitch that does DJing. she will tell them, and you will get banned.
simple as that!
shows at club hell eh? there will probably be a lot of people there. thats the hipster hangout in providence now.
if you want more to happen there then go

i made that flyer. i'm glad more people were into the "return of babyhead" thing than got offended by it. it wasn't made to be misleading - it was just for fun.
it was a good time, thanks to everyone for being there.
hopefully it was good enough too make this a normal event.
i had fun.

If RK doesn't reunite, they should all start bands that are in the same vein. I got to see very little of them, and am just now getting around to picking up their stuff, and it's sad to see a good band split up. (i.e. RK, Beyond the Flesh) I would probably kill someone to have Sarah in one of my bands, and the music was great. It's sad to think that's the end of it. From what little time I've been able to spend around you guys, you're all good folks too. Thanks again for coming Monday.
Shit, I never did say good show to all the bands, so there you go... Good show everyone. I was hoping to catch Blackspot, but Playgirl! did a fucking great job filling that spot, Old Man Radford is my hero. Civil Defense, well, they're fucking Civil Defense, what do you say? ENOUGH!!! Thanks for playing that one, always been my fave. My band kinda sucked, I dislocated my shoulder on the first big overemphasized cymbal hit and it pooped back in after I dropped my stick and almost pissed myself, and in general we had a pretty terrible show, but thanks to everyone who appreciated it anyways. Throwing Shrapnel was good n' grindy, so being a fan of bands of that ilk, I was into it. I had to leave a few songs before the end so as not to get ticketed for illegal parking, but I'm sure the end of the gig was a blast. Anyway, look forward to playing with everyone again at some point.
Rock on.
