yeah it really was last minute...we were offered to get on this when it was just 2 bands like...tuesday or something

ya so, i was gonna go to his, but i got a headache, and didnt.

that sucks....zircon ruled...missed deconformity...caught some of the second band, face full of shotgun, a lot of good musicianship but the band didn't seem to fit well together, and i just wasn't feeling gutwrench at all(although their set was the perfect time to walk home and grab more beer that wasn't ludicrously expensive)

wish i saw deconformity...dammit

I met the guys in Zircon at the show we did at KC's Tap the other day. They're pretty cool..........

deconformity - i missed them.

face full of shotgun -might of been 50 people in the room at this point. had the drummer of zircon. i think they are new cause they messed up a bit. i did not like the singer. he was ok at best. the bass player was a total metalcore kid who didn't seem to fit in the band. decent bassist though. the guitar player with the long hair shredded. first 2 songs where metalcore. then and instrumental, then 2 more songs with more metal and less core.

zircon - 35 people maybe. metal. some black, some death mostly good. the non singing guitar player seemed to have technical difficulties at one point, switched guitars and was rocking out again. they should play with coffin birth again.

gutwrench - um......no. 13 people including soundguy, bartender and band. the bass player/singer had a six string bass but i think he only used the top 2 strings. drummer had a wicked nice set. couldn't really play that well. at least they didn't fuck up their songs. the bass player had issues with sound and they where down to just guitar drums and vox. 2 drunk kids where passing time moshing or something like it.



Ralph's is a pretty cool club and I guess the first Thursday of every month will be a metal show. Maybe if fuckers start going it could be every thursday.

deconformity rules, you guys should hate yourselves thorougly for missing them.

i got there at like 9:30.

they probably played like a 20 minute set and had to leave

it sucks but it happens...i should've drank more beer on the way there then before going there...ya
