so if anyone is selling, or knows of one for sale, let me know.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 26,2006 9:43pm
I have on... do you need realtime or not?
I have an electribes EB1.
if you need realtime, get a chaospad.

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Jan 26,2006 9:49pm
i need one that plays stuff i download into it... thats about the only requirements... and that i can hook up to a PA

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Jan 26,2006 9:50pm edited Jan 26,2006 9:52pm
i just looked it up, i couldnt find an EB1, just EA1 and ER1

toggletoggle post by diamond_dave  at Jan 26,2006 10:19pm
you could do it the cheap way...use a cd player, make a cd of the samples.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 26,2006 10:26pm
there is the EB1, EA1, ER1, and EM1.
EB1 = sampler "drum" machine
EA1 = analog synth
ER1 = rhythm synth
EM1 = combines all 3

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 26,2006 10:26pm
I'm going to search vintage synth for them and link it up.

you can get a ES-1 for $100-$200.
if I really wanted a sampler and didn't care about money...
akai all the way.

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Jan 26,2006 10:45pm
if i can find an es-1 that would be fine.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 26,2006 10:51pm
you want to borrow my es1 for a while and try it out?
if you would be careful with it, I could let you.

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Jan 26,2006 10:54pm
well, im gonna buy one no matter what, so let me search a little bit and learn a little more about what exactly im looking for.

toggletoggle post by Dissector   at Jan 26,2006 11:03pm edited Jan 26,2006 11:03pm
Dissector just uses an iPod whenever we remember to bring one and feel like using samples.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 26,2006 11:08pm
the only thing that a sampler gives you is "triggers" and you can play more than one sample at a time.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 26,2006 11:08pm
oh and I liked the electribes cause you can sequence if you want.
but if you are going to sequence, you would probably just put it on an ipod or whatever

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Jan 26,2006 11:25pm
the more i look into it, the more i realise those es-1 models look pretty good for the money, with the features they have.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 26,2006 11:28pm
you need to get a 32MB media card for it too.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 26,2006 11:30pm
oh, look at the EM-1. I don't know what it can do.. but I was told it can do the ES-1's job and more.. like the ER1, Ea!, and ES1

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Jan 26,2006 11:40pm
the EM-1 looks older, and like it does actually less, but thats just after a quick scan

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 27,2006 12:02am
EM-1 is newer. click on the vintagesynth links above.

but I think you are right. the EM-1 combines the EA-1 and the ER-1, not the Es-1/

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Jan 27,2006 12:04am
if you just need sound samples then i'd say go with this http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Key...ds/Midi/Modules/Samplers?sku=700451

our keyboardist just got one that's a sequencer/drum machine/keyboard/sampler...it surely is overkill for what we need right now but i'm sure there's all sorts of crazy uses it could have once we figure out how to actually use the god damn thing...the only problem is thinking of a way of using it without sounding like Q

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Jan 27,2006 12:09am
I was actually looking at that 404, but im trying to spend a little less.

plus im swaying the way of the drum machine more, for new solo side project im working on

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Jan 27,2006 12:18am
ahhh

perhaps that thing i had mentioned is better suited to your needs...i'm not sure what there are for possibilities with a smaller price unless you're trying e-bay

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Jan 27,2006 12:21am edited Jan 27,2006 12:21am
the thing you linked is the 404

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Jan 27,2006 12:26am
oh sorry i meant the sampler that our keyboardist bought might be better for your side project

here ya go: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Key...oove/Production/Stations?sku=701947

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 27,2006 6:03am
why the hell does that thing have tubes in it?

toggletoggle post by whiskey_weed_and_women  at Jan 27,2006 8:37am
ain't nuthin' like an 808

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 27,2006 8:57am
808's bass kick rules.
hands down the best sounds in electronica come from the 808, 303 and the juno 106.

toggletoggle post by whiskey_weed_and_women  at Jan 27,2006 9:01am
oh snap, breaking out with the juno 106, dont make me find samples of project 808 to school you ole time aaaaaaah

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 27,2006 9:09am
I have a juno alpha 1 with is like a prequel to the 106. I forget if the 106 had midi or is that was the jupter 60. either way, those are true analog synths... so fucking thick sounding, nice and juice.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 27,2006 9:09am
that's pronoucned juicEEEEEEEEEEE

toggletoggle post by whiskey_weed_and_women  at Jan 27,2006 9:10am
i think you just drooled in my coco

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Jan 27,2006 9:41am
the tubes have their own gain knob, it pretty much adds balls to the sound that digital couldn't offer

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Dec 11,2006 6:52pm
ok, this is back, using an ipod blows.

anyone holdin?

toggletoggle post by menstrual_sweatpants_disco   at Dec 11,2006 6:59pm
oh suuuuuuure. When I was look for samplers nobody said shit.
http://www.forum.returntothepit.com/view.php?formid=32566&highlight=sample
But now everybody's full of ideas. Bastards.

I ended up getting a Roland SP-404. No complaints. Mr. Blue helped me out.

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Dec 11,2006 7:05pm
this is an old thread, i just brought it back

toggletoggle post by menstrual_sweatpants_disco   at Dec 11,2006 10:13pm
Oh yeah, you're right. I actually haven't read this thread in its entirety yet. I'm going to wait till tomorrow when I'm on the clock at work.

Now I'm wondering how I missed this thread before. Was the search feature up and working in August?

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Dec 11,2006 10:25pm
I doubt it.

toggletoggle post by menstrual_sweatpants_disco   at Dec 12,2006 6:39pm
Well, like I said I have the 404 and It's pretty good for what I use it for. If you have any questions about it, shoot away.

does it hurt when women get raped, why do they struggle and is it in their nature to enjoy being choked and punched

toggletoggle post by menstrual_sweatpants_disco   at Dec 12,2006 6:50pm
Yes. They struggle just to make us want them more. And yes, all good women enjoy a good punch deep down inside, whether they want to admit it or not.
