Great show last night! Fire for Effect made a stellar debut!

The lead singer had lots of energy and got crowd fired up.

Bass guitarist was tremendous on back up vocal and had exceptional skills on the bass

The lead guitarist was one of the best I have ever seen. Had cobra fingers!

The drumist was quick and on beat through out the whole show. All though he was very moist by the end he kept up and rocked out.

Fire for Effect brought in a great crowd who loves to drink!!!!

Fire For Effect f*@^ing rules!

I wonder if this is REALLY the Skybar....

I wonder why they only wrote about one band...

why does "the reverend" seem to think we all care that he is going to prance around a mall shopping before he makes his grand appearance at the sky bar.....???(as if anyone cares) oh and then complain about a whiskey sour that tastes too much like alcohol instead of sour lime syrup. Get some Balls reverend, try a drink that my mother isnt a fan of, and please do us all a favor and move to Canada if you find American pride offensive. The SKy Bar was amazing last night, truly one of my favorite nights there, all the bands rocked and that drummer from Fire for Effect was one i'd like to throw me up against a wall someday

who the fuck are you to talk to the reverend like that? i bet you're ugly and a whore. he didn't say anything about being offended by american pride in this thread. you're damn lucky he takes pictures of all these bands for you to enjoy and posts them on this site. no one said they didn't like fire for effect. we are just saying his outfit looks like something a pro wrestler would wear. what's the harm in that? grow a sense of humor bitch.

The Rev. probably thinks we care because we are on his fuckin web page. The real question is why do you think any of us give a flying fuck what you have to say? As for his "grand appearance"... He showed up to this show (along with countless others) to do the metal community a favor and personally take pictures and post them. Yeah, what a dick, huh?

Maybe you should try thinking before you post something.

for future reference I don't give much of a shit who I am talking about, if this is "the reverend"'s webpage then I am sure he is more than man enough to handle the honest bullshit that comes out of people's mouths including mine. I could care less if i offended him or any of you pansies with my comments because that is exactly how I felt when i read his posts. He(that's YOU Reverend, thats who i'm talking about) is supposed to be critiquing the music so people can expand on getting to hear some good friggin metal shit from all over the place, if not globalization then I have no fucking clue what the internet is really for (isn't that right all you wealthy motherfucking republicans) He is not supposed to be letting me know how his Christmas shopping is going or how shitty what I still think is a pussy drink he got at the bar was. I want to hear a REVIEW Reverend, not a fucking blog that I could find on a 14 year olds myspace profile. Get over yourselves New England, those bands rocked last night, aside from the first one, i was fucking creaming my pants. kiss kiss, you little bitches, ~HOT GIRL

you gotta love message boards.....it was a good show, the fire for effect singer looked like a pro wrestler, who cares, thats his look. i myself and partial to the ultimate warrior. and the audience was 99% jock, i dont give a shit about that either. its metal man. hot girl stop trying to start shit.

My name is Mike, I play bass for this band, and I would just like to thank everyone who showed up and had a good time. I'd also like to thank my man from RttP for taking some awesome pictures. I am a frequent viewer of this site and honor it's credibility and devotion to underground heavy music. And that's it, I feel as though all this blog bullshit by people who don't have the balls to put in their real names is making us (the band) look like morons. Well, we're not. And I hope if you enjoyed the shit we played, you'll come back and see us again. And I hope RttP is there taking pictures.

good music by all the bands, fire for effect was great but im not really all for politics mixed with my music. the energy was great though, and there is no need to start shit, period. just enjoy what you can when you can. everyone is lucky that there are places like the sky bar that will put up with us.

What did we think of the other two bands...?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 24,2005 6:46pm edited Dec 24,2005 9:55pm
dominatus: I had no idea what to expect. they were complete immortal worship. it was pulled off really well too. the lead guitarist played good, a lot of The vocals were weird cause it seemed like he was singing low, but the mic was turned up really loud. towards the end, they had a bass player that came up and played with them. I think the stuff with the bass sounded the best of the set. too bad the kid's in the army or whatever. there were slower parts to songs that you could see the drummer fighting to stay slow and then just waiting for the time to speed up. they had so many things on the stage with their logos on it.

fire for effect: as they started up, the bassplayer played axle f. I didn't know what to expect from them either. the guitarist sounded pretty good on start up. At this point I was trying to do anything to take my mind off my shitty whiskey sour. I wasn't too big on most of it once it started. the back-up vocals sounded decent. the main vocal style were a bit to pantera for me. the singer was high-engery. though it reminded me a lot of distrust if anyone ever saw them, you probably know what I mean. the political things made me laugh. how could they not when the guy saying then is the patriotic version of macho man? these guys did bring in a lot of people who didn't stay long after they ended.

eye of the sun: they sounded really really good. I looked back in my old pictures and I was right. they did have a keyboardist the last time I saw them. it was too bad most of the crowd left. the guys from FFE sat in the front head banging for most of the set (and they bought a CD at the end of eots's set). they gave me a CD which I can't wait to put in... which I don't know why I didn't put it in yet. hm.. I will have to think about that one. anyhow, they have a style on stage that just plain rocks live. I hope it translates to the CD.

Glad you liked our set.

Yea, i came to see fire for effect, the other bands were sick, Eye of the son were insane, i spent all my money on booze though and couldnt buy a cd. I thought the singer was great, and some of the riffs reminded me of COC
