Is it true that Rick Ta Life is no longer in the band?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 23,2005 3:11pm
I guess I will find out tonight.
I don't really know how the band can exist with out him.

hang em high: I missed them, but I heard they were still good without aaron. They review I heard from someone was that the vocals sounded the same, but easier to understand.

in our blood: they are recording their new CD on teusday. It sounded pretty decent, but the polish guys downstairs told them to turn it down which takes away from IOB's sound. They really need it to be have their shit turned up to the max to match the vocals.

these lies: it was punkish. The singer had a giant mohawk. I think the best part of their set was a deadboy cover of "sonic reducer". Classic song though people probably didn't know it. At the beginning of their set, one of the mics didn't work. I'm guessing charlie fixed it.

for the worse: looks like the singer's robotic leg is getting better. It was basically all the songs they have been playing when I've seen them. A few people in the audience got into them, but most people were standing a little far away. It could have something to do with the fact that the singer started the set swingng his mic 25 feet around him and them collecting it up around his neck. at another point he pricked his forehead and bled a bunch. It was a bitch trying to get pctured of it. Also there was a knock knock joke about a girl there named "Suzanne..who?"
in the end some one said "did you hear that? That was candy striper death orgy style"

25 ta life: ok... That was weird. The last times I saw rik ta life, I think that rik's voice must have been completely blown. Even on the CDs I could hear it, but 4+ years later, his vocals are almost completely different. Isn't not the characature of agnostic front that I remember. He's even got some deeper parts. The guitar was way way too quiet, but the guy couldn't turn it up any higher. besides COA, This was the set that people got into the most. lots of old school pile ons, a sparce circle pit, etc. I guess they had to cancel last friday @ brockton cause of a family emergency.what ever it was, you could see it weighting wicked heavey on on their sholders and performance. They ended with crucified which was to only note to go out on.

Can’t Stand Losing: they sounded awesome. I like the vocals that the ex-suture singer in this band. I know I made comments to that before. I really didn't like suture. I think all the hardcore kids will like them. I also think that a lot of people are going to say "they always hated hardcore", but whatever, they do it well and it sounds good which is all that matters. this is the extension of the notorious dump that is serious and not just a big joke.

colin of arabia: best set of the night. so many people in the crowd dancing around and singing along. they played 2 new songs and 1 or 2 covers. one of the new songs they have played before (about shitty bosses). the other new song sounded like misfits, but then I think they actually did do a misfits cover, I just couldn't place it. they also did a blackflag cover with colin introin it "if you drink and drive, remove the seatbelt." they actually did do the whole encore thing. they get a URL and now they are doing encores.

dood dont worry nashua kids. you seem like you really need hardcore in this area and I come from up north and the only reason why we bought you some shows like this to get something going up north because me and Johnny were so heavily influenced by the love that the south shore kids give to their scene out there that we knew something like that can happen in your area. So were gonna keep on looking for places to put shows on and yes we know a lot of bands that you like that are willing to play in your area so were not giving up. If you have suggestions for any places in your area that be good to make some sick shows then e mail me or johnny... cwebber78@yahoo.com is mine.. Johnny is John.Gingras@comcast.net... DONT WORRY WERE GONNA KEEP AT IT. JUST DONT WORRY!!!

Try the American Legon in Nashua. Its like right across the street from the PAC. Kids used to book that place out all the time for shows. I know theres an Elk Lodge somewhere in Manchester that used to have shows all the time.
