this should be good. bane shows are always fun live... even if their CDs sort of suck.

That's like saying Hitler had a slight problem with jewish people.

I like comeback kid too. their form of hardcore is accessible, but still good.
I don't know they other two bands.

Comeback Kid is ok-ish. Strung Out is decent if you like pop punk. Actual pop punk though, not Blink182-Sum41. Valient Thorr sound like they should wear corpsepaint.

I like some fat wreck records stuff.
some of nofx, nomeansno, and lagwagon stuff... it's sort of funny.

I have no clue about falient thoor

There's some band on Fat that I really like, I can't think of their name though. All I can remember is they put out an album called "Modern Guide to Rebellion".

Strung Out is actually really fucking good, I've been listening to them for so long, one of my favorite bands. They have elements of all sorts of different music in their style. It's pretty unique.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 6,2005 6:22pm
wtf... the traffic getting on 295 sucks D.
guessing I'm missing a band...

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 6,2005 6:43pm
it was an accident.
oversize load carrying 1/2 a house didn't make the corner @ exit 4 on 293. the place doesn't look as packed as it was for shadowsfall

I just called wade to see if he was going, but he's phone's

I'm inside now. there are plenty of kids inside. but it seems like it will be a good show. the cieling is pretty much just the same as it was.

valient thorr: wow, the were hilarious. I saw their outfits and figured it wuld be like.sweatpants boners, but it was only semi campy. They played 70s-ish rock and dressed the part. At one point, the singer wrung the sweat out into his mouth from his shirt. Then he got everyone in the audience to come close around him and sit down on the ground. It always amazes me how much maine kids play along with things like this. Audience participation is near 99.9% in maine.

comeback kid: so the singer is mia for this part of the tour so the guitarist is singing and they got a friend to fill in on guitar. The guitar player that was singing was the one that sang for figure four. He was honestly a lot higher energy that the real singer. The kids were really high energy too. I would expect nothing less from maine kids though (audience participation above). Ryan (outbreak) sang during one of their songs too.
right when they ended, the floor totally cleared out. I'm wondering if the people will come back for bane or not.

bane: they played really tight which makes sense cause of the fact that they tour non-stop. They played a bunch of new stuff which actually sounded a lot like their old stuff. the kids in maine went crazy again for them. both guitar players had issues with their gear. That gave too much time for even aaron's speaches.
upon their final note, a lot of the people in the crowd took off.

at the end of their set, I was sitting down and some girl was telling her friend about all these guys she just punched and that "no one will fucking make me miss strung out". I guess she was drunk, flipped over all the merch, and was randomly punching people. A second later, all the bouncers came and too her away... From what chris said, she was punching people all the way outside and was attacking people infront of the club. The police came quickly. man, iif I had known the isht going out side, I would have run out there. I heard there were 8 cruisers outside for that little incedent.

too bad you didn't get a photo of her

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 6,2005 11:37pm
her name was hessah hannah or something like that.
there was another dude there taking pictures of it.
I hope that he posts them.

there was also someone that lost a love letter and comback kid found it. it was from some girl name stephanie to mitch... there is a picture of mitch being held up in the crowd.

tomorrow is going to be the first time comeback kid has played boston and i haven't gone. they disappointed me so much the last time i saw them (at the palladium with rise against) that i don't know if i'll ever see them again.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 7,2005 12:40am
they were pretty damn good with the guitar player on vocals

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Oct 7,2005 8:38am
that girl scratched some kid in the face a bunch of times and the cops came and she wouldnt shut up the got her in a car but they had to bring in a van for it so it was like three cruisers and a van, she also kid two cars and both of the people filled out police reports so shes what i'd call fucked

toggletoggle post by Adam at Oct 7,2005 11:38am
that douche punched a dent in the trunk of my car, and i had to fill out police reports, i guess she punched two cars out side and a 60 minute parking sign, and shes going to jail on 2 counts of criminal mischeif

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 7,2005 11:39am
I guess someone could make her "fucking" miss strung out.
I'm glad I didn't park close in that 60-minute parking place.

strung out: quick and to the point. they were ok, but I was too concerned with the pain in my tooth and less with seeing them. they sounded ok.. the vocals weren't mixed right.
