The real show happened afterwards when everybody was throwing that dead bird on that drunk kid passed out on the sidewalk. Bill Miller then took some pictures of Larry petting the thing. Then Marsi and Alex were yelling at some kid who didn't like the way they were treating his dead friend while Larry was shouting profanities into the street.

Great fuckin' show. Mega thanks to Ravage for letting me use that amp. That was one loud motherfucker.

toggletoggle post by SuperFly at Sep 13,2005 9:04am
thanks to everyone who came out. I'm glad we got to play, I was sweating it when midnight rolled around and there were only 2 members from my band there. I wish we could have had our full line-up there but some things are just out of my control. we did the best we could with what we had. hope everyone had a good time, thanks to sean (A.S.) for the bass rig, and to the person who bought the jager shots.

damn.. BTM's pics are up but there's no sign of the drunk kid and his pet bird :(

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Sep 13,2005 10:09am
This was fun. Thanks to all the bands for making my show not shitty-lame. Thanks to the nice folks that gave me alcohol and drugs. My skull still feels like a boiled egg from punching it.

toggletoggle post by paganmegan   at Sep 13,2005 10:10am
Thanks for putting the show together, Rich. You guys played a great set by the way

toggletoggle post by NotCommon Recordz in da house at Sep 13,2005 10:14am
Thanks for not actually punching me in the face Mike, I don't think I'd have survived.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Sep 13,2005 10:16am
Yeah, this was the first time in the history fo IWEIPH that everyone could be heard an no one's equipment malfunctioned. This obviously means I'll soon be dead, a move I applaud.

I know and that was part of what made me enjoy the set so much! I'm used to seeing you on guitar, but your drumming was great!

and to belt out those vokills simultaneously is difficult for those of us with little, if any coordination

I wish I had taped the bands for this show

it will end in pure horor: the bass sounded more like mortician, all fuzzy n stuff. rich's vocals towards the end and the finger pointing reminded me of brian (watchmaker).

hekseri: it's funny that they were standing in the position of their promo shots. meg started off singing the first song and I thought "what?!? she's in front and is singing all the songs now?!?" but then the next song switched to larissa and then to damnose. they sounded really good and larissa is slowly becoming erik rutan.

ravage: they played a few tracks from the new CD and had a huge set list, but only played like 5 songs. when ever I heard "this is a new track" all I could think was "this is a song about a dude in leather on a motorcycle". there wasn't nearly enough fist pumping for this band, but I had to run and pick up carina when they started their last song.

adolf satan: this was how adolf satan should be, the band playing and a drunken larry stumbling around. this is definitely THE BEST they have ever sounded. the equipemnt that they borrowed was awesome. josh was so loud yet so clear. this is the first time while he was playing that I actually could hear kiss/acdc influences screaming from the guitar as he played. whatever cab that was, save your beans and buy it. when I was outside I almost put my ear plugs back in it was so loud. this is the first (and hopefully only) time that I'm saying this, larry's vocals we actually too quiet.

grief: I guess the was a car accident or some junk and they had to play as a 3-piece with mr. superfly on drums and singing. he said something about not playing drums in like 4 years. I think he's a liar. for what they had, it was cool and sounded good. terry ran around the stage a lot, grandstanding and getting it everyone's grill as they played. they were much better at d&g fest so if you saw that and missed this, don't be too said.

toggletoggle post by SuperFly at Sep 13,2005 10:59am
that was the first time I've played any grief songs on drums since 1998.
I've played drums since then, just not for grief.

I agree that Joshs guitar sound CRUSHED through that amp.

best Larry Lifeless line of the night "I grow better pot than you"

Grief sounded killer despite the unfortunate turn of events...I've yet to be let down by them in a live setting.

Grief are like Red Bliss, no wrong can be done once they start a set

only that Grief practice more often

tbe amp from ravage = mesa rectifier cab + rockton pirana preamp..
not exactly sure what he uses to power the cabs but i know that is where the sound comes from...

The preamp is a Rocktron Piranha, the poweramp is a Rocktron Velocity, and the cab is a Mesa slanted-rectifier cab. The velocity poweramp is solidstate, so obviously if you were gonna go out and actually get the Piranha you should get a tube poweramp which i'm gonna switch to once i get the money.
