toggletoggle post by Cecchini   at Aug 28,2005 1:14pm
its gonna be pretty gay because I ordered a giant inflatable penis to put on stage for when we play. It's going to make some people pretty uncomfy and stir up some dormant and unwanted feelings in others.

Heyy thats cool. Last time you saw us we played up at FPC and we sucked. lol. You'll get to see how much more we've improved and how much better we are now.... or something.

Either way, much appreciated.

toggletoggle post by Cecchini   at Sep 2,2005 12:47am
I'd like to add, that Deb at RockBoston is doing alot for bands that more fit this pages style, if this show is a success their will be more shows and better shows like this at Goodtimes which is an awesome venue.... Perhaps even get them to have some 18+ shows or something. Even if there is just one band on this bill you want to check out, you should come to this show and make this show a success to prove that shows like this can happen and succeed that don't consist of all nu metal/metalcore bands.

Thats it.

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Sep 2,2005 3:30am
WOOOO!

i'll be there early playing laser tag if they have it...if not...i'm finding street fighter

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 2,2005 9:51am
someone gl me.
if I were a smart person, I would have brought studio lights and shot promos on the left side of the stage (since there is a HUGE area there) to make a little bit of bank.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Sep 2,2005 9:56am
yes but i don't think bands like it when everyone is staring at them getting theirr photos taken..something un-natural about it...

mind you, i've never been to this place so i don't know how it's set up...

that reminds me though..sacreligion promos...we still need to do them!

toggletoggle post by Cecchini   at Sep 2,2005 10:20am
They do have laser tag but I've never played it there. Me personally, I always play Marvel vs. Capcom and own n00bs with my team of Venom and Ryu.

Yea I can only imagine how much more money their shows would make 18+

toggletoggle post by babyshaker at Sep 2,2005 12:39pm
im not saying it would make more money i was simply stating it sucks its 21+ casue i cant go

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Sep 2,2005 1:22pm
yes but he has a good point...18+ means more people could go meaning more people give money at the door

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 2,2005 1:23pm
the way they think:
meaning less people at the bar.

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Sep 2,2005 1:32pm
do they really think a hsow being 18+ stops 21+ people from going? imbeciles!

toggletoggle post by Cecchini   at Sep 2,2005 1:32pm
Yea I dont know if they make it 21+ because they think shows like this are going to be filled to capacity and that means a bunch of drinkers to make them even more money or if they are just forced to by some city ordinance or whatever. Either way, local shows that wont be filled to capacity would def benefit from the 18+, cause then you'd get all the 21+ers who could drink plus the 18+ers to.

WARNING: It is the opinion of many that the Sac has been known to sound better at Goodtimes Emporium than any other place they have played.

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Sep 2,2005 2:09pm
...and we sound good everywhere *cheesy thumbs up*

toggletoggle post by Cecchini   at Sep 2,2005 2:53pm
Probably because the sound guy at Goodtimes does a crazy thorough job. at most every show I've been to there he runs up and asks the bands constantly how everything sounds after their first 2 songs. That and he's always running around the room trying to hear it from different areas.

Good guy, easy to spot because he's 80's Thrash all the way.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 2,2005 10:09pm
Sacreligion: they just finished playing. As long as you were with in 20 feet of the stahe, it sound good. If you backed up a little bit, it was super echoy. For some reason, the 20- 30 people in the audience were standing 20 feet back. I felt all alone up at the stage. They played a new song just for us, but didn't they have 2 guitarists last time or was I smoking hash? eh, probably the latter. The lady that runs this place must chqrge the bands for smoke cause she used a lot. For some reason, I think that the keys player had less to do this time than the last time.

toggletoggle post by Cecchini   at Sep 3,2005 1:48am

good night flight: this band was kind of a differnet band to be on the bill. They reminded me of glass jaw a bit. I'm not really a glass jaw fan, but there was a screamy edge to it that was much nicer, sort of like evergreen terrace, but not as has vocals.. Plus they had a lot of good progressions. They only played 5 songs. Most of the crowd moved up to the front for them. They were all singing along (friends of the band). I thought this mean that everyone would leave after them, but they didn't.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 3,2005 3:06am
wreckless intent: I would say that they were metal with rock in fluences and some overt Pantera influnces. They put up police caution tape which cecchini abused to its fullest extent. The part that bugged me about their performance was the rapping parts. I didn't like those.

Attack of the Show is on G4TV. It's a show about games and other technology that they showcase for an hour everynight at 7PM. It's pretty good. I prefer shows like Judgement Day or the almighty X-Play. God bless G4. I'm going back in time and taking away all the tributes to the wrestlers and giving them all to G4...

Then they started talking about good xbox games but only listed the bad ones.

how "echo-y" was it in that place? was it like he said?

toggletoggle post by Cecchini   at Sep 3,2005 2:07pm
It didnt seem very echo-y to me personally. I think it was more just how big of a room it was and stuff not much you can do to help that.

Hahah yea i want to hear Revs opinion our set... Or anyones opinion on our set.

toggletoggle post by Kessaris V 2.0 at Sep 3,2005 2:08pm
I personally thought that all the bands were cool and I had a good time at the show last night. I was pretty drunk so thanks to wreckless intent for singing with me to symphony of destruction...I don't sing, and last night was the reason why. I'm not totally against 3HM having a singer, I just want the singer to be like...Matt Barlow or Tim Owens esc. I want an amazing singer or no singer at all.

As for the other bands, I hope you all witnessed me punish the rest of my band by making them all victims of the Masterlock...the greatest finisher in wrestling since...Shawn Michael's old finisher, the back suplex thing he did for like 3 weeks. Yea. FALL VICTIM TO THE MASTERLOCK!

bane of existence: so this was my first time seeing them with the new lineup. Actually, it was their first show too. It took doug's vocals a while to warm up...er... Wait, that must be some auto-insert thing on my keyboard. Watching them, I sort of though I was back at the palladium in 2000 seeing a show. First off, the new singer, dusty, sounded sick. Compared to dougs vocals, they sounded pretty different. I think dusty had a larger range (higher hi's and lower lows) than doug, but a lot of the vocals that doug would do just came out as gutterals. not that it's too bad of a thing, but I think that it will be especially hard to understand those parts. the difference is my mind is trying to understand the lyrics in goratory as compared to the lyrics in jungle rot. the 2 new members up the long-haired headbanging of this band from 1 to 3. plus, the new 2 guys are able to head bang like 90% of the time too. at some point, jim's guitar cut out or something. I'm not sure what happened, but it took him out of it for 1/2 a song. when jim was out, you could only hear the low end (I'm guessing that's the rhythm part of the songs). out of all the band, the new guys seemed pretty relaxed and not stressed to be playing. I think that jim was the most nervous out of all of them.

3 headed monster: for the person that I said something about yngwie too, I meant satriani. anyhow, they were rediculous with all the guitar masturbation going on on that stage. after their smash hit "raising kubrick", the song that they tried to play by megadeth would have been better if anyone knew the words to it. the guys from wreckless intent tried to get up there and help by singing too. after all their tomfoolary during the wreckless intent set, those guys fooled around on the stage during 3hm. I think they got screwed on the smoke dept. for some reason, I think that all the fog was used up engulfing mikey in fog for most of boe's set. oh, and 3hm's drummer wore a nappy wig for the whole set... wow... they tired to continue playing passed their time, but got cut off.
