Why are they keeping the order a secret? Is it some tricky way to force fans of some bands see the other bands?

devil driver: well, the good thing is that the sound was really muddy so you couldn't really hear what was going on and they just sounded like death metal to me. the crowd was wicked in to them though, packed right up in the front (even that guy with the blonde goatee people were talking about in another thread).

a life once lost: they sounded much much better just over all than DD. I think the mixing guy actually started to pay attention to things. their performance was pretty good. I've only listened to the new tracks a couple of times so the new songs were sort of lost on me... I think that they were lost on the crowd too... they didn't seem to be too in to this band (at least in the front) which sucked... I wanted to grab them and shake them since ALOL is awesome.

all that remains: wow... ollie's guitar just had mega-mega issues. the entire time it was cutting out over and over again. Their set was the tipical songs, but they had to cut on e in the middle due to all the issues with the guitar. Ollie looked mega pissed. the unfortunate thing about seeing ATR live is that I'm going to have their songs stuck in my head for the next week.

red chord, the: this was the first band that I tried to watch the whole time. their set was a mixture of new and old, pretty much even. I think I got a shot of their set list in there. the crowd really went off for them. I think that they only had one song that wasn't a winner live. for the last song, guy came down in to the crowd for the sing along.

throwdown: they played really well and the lighting was awesome. we got kicked out of the photo pit when they were starting up a cover of "root, bloody root".

every time i die: their set was odd... in the middle of moshy bands, there is a band with a front row of screaming girls. the lighting for them was horrendous. I think that they just decided to turn on all of the red lights in the entire house. they played at least one new songs.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 25,2005 4:00pm
I just saw the LOG set list and it looks AWESOME.

norma jean: I only got to hear the first 3 songs that they played. I think they were all off the new CD. I was hoping that they would play some good ones off the first CD in the first few songs, but they probably held them for the last. I would have listened from backstage, but some one was shooting a video interview and now I'm the guy that stops, looks at the video camera like a deer caught in head lights. back to NJ; they move around A LOT on stage. I found myself having to chase after members as they sprinted around the stage.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 25,2005 4:46pm
strapping young lad: they just walked off the stage. it was a pretty awesome set. the sound (atleast up front) was mixed so well. you could hear everything. I'm glad they got the synth right. typically they mess that up and you either can't hear that or it's blasting. they they played a really really short set, but devon was hilarious. he kept telling the audience off and then saying not to buy their "shit". Devon kept making scary faces and staring lynne down.

there is now a 20 minute set change while they get ready for gwar! I asked one of the security gaurds what they were going to do and he said "duck when they shoot it" and I said "um.. so you are going to costantly be ducked?"
"you mean they don't just spray once?" - him
"nope, constantly.. it's like they turn on a bloody hose and spray the crowd down for the entire set." - me
he looked let down.
I really have no idea how they are going to clean up after gwar... they only allot 20 minutes for the clean up AND this place is on top of a hockey rink. I'm back stage with carina and gwar just walked by. this is going to be awesome!

one of the monsters just walked through. A promotion lady said "my dog looks just like you."
that made me laugh, but the guy turns to me and says "don't laugh, you don't look so good yourself kid". I got called kid and he didn't even through me his game winning jersey.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 25,2005 5:37pm
gwar: ok, I was in the front for the first 15 minutes of their set. they actually got 30 minutes to play. I had to move away from the Pope when he got his cheast ripped open. but that was a mist. I tried to just keep away from that and keep my eye on where the hoses were going/getting connected up to. after 15 minutes, the security guards had taken their trash bags off. I left the photo pit at that point since they had already killed the Pope and George W Bush (the dirtiest man in the world). I that it would be a good time to skidaddle. by the time I got up stairs where carina was shooting from, they had started a full on set of water works. the the guns were on a lot after that. from upstiars, I saw them cut up some unnamed dino-beast (it wasn't gorgor). the last thing was some sort of battlemech that the minions fought off. I think it then shot stuff everywhere.

right now, they are cleaning up the mess. I don't know how they are doing it. I personally would just turn up the ice on the rink... but I'm not that smart. they could also kick out some cat litter. I guess I'll find out when I go out there again. I'm guessing that the security guards are going to be a mess.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 25,2005 6:29pm

opeth: so I was expecting a good set from them... but that was awesome. they only played 3 songs
#1 was off black water park
#2 deliverence
#3 demon of the fall
they, per usual, were completely on point. at one point, mikael said something like "we have a new record come out on metalblade records. it's your typical nu-metal release." about 10 people laughed. and I'm sure most of those left right after opeth. Watching them, I really want to see them do a hour 1/2 set. I definitly was left wanting more...
on a side note: carina basically made the guitar player sign in blood when he borrowed her pen. he promptly returned the pen after using it.

we are actually sitting in the balcony right now watching the last few songs to LOG...

chimaira: I really don't listen to their CDs at all. I think I did a couple times and it wasn't my bag. I can listen to one song, but more that that is just a little too much for me to deal with. but they are pretty good live. the drumming is absolutely excellent. kevin talley has it down, as usual. he really does make the live sound all that much better.

poison the well: their set was ok. I'm not a big fan of the latest stuff. their live show always leaves a little to be desired. I think it's focused to much on the newer material AND on the clean singing. but whatever, the guy's got a really expensive ear piece so it's expected. they moved around a lot on stage. it seemed whenever I would be on one side of the stage, they would all run to the other. it's probably cause I smell. it happens. the front row for them was a lot of screaming teen boys, as I would expect.

from autumn to ashes: wow.. it's been a really long time since I've seen them. I think the last time I saw them was in 2002. the front row was all teen girls screaming. oh well, they played good. but the drummer was in the dark in the back so there would just be this random voice booming out from the darkness. Again, I like their older stuff which sounds like Renembering Never, but not the newer. I'm not sure if the drummer came out like he usually does. I don't think so.

clutch: I'm not a fan of clutch. I think the new stuff sounds like southern 70's nu metal. anyhow, the first song they played was alright. the singer was on guitar in the front. then from there forward, he only sang. for the third track, a guy came out an played second guitar for them.

Clutch rules the fucking world, hands down. By far the highlight of this whole fucking show.

Sound = sucked

Commercialism in it's height = YEP

Emo haircuts = EVERYWHERE

Opeth = Played 4 (four) songs.....they were the soundcheck for almost all of these SUCK bands.

Underground??? = HARDLY

Beer = $4.50

SHOW AS A WHOLE = HUGE WASTE OF TIME, WORST SHOW I'VE EVER BEEN TO. HORRIBLE VENUE, SHITTY SOUND, GAY SHORT, SHORT, SHORT sets from the only bands there that were worth a shit.

This show has officially gayed everything that was decent about not being THAT gay.

that was by far the worst show i've ever been to. opeth and syl were awesome and i wanted more from them. i was going to stay for clutch, but i didn't feel like sitting through all the shitty bands between opeth and clutch. the first few bands all sounded the same. everytime i die was probably the worst band i saw. luckily i missed devildriver. i did see a kid with a devildriver tattoo. i wanted to tell him he was gay, but i figured he'd start coming onto me, so i just laughed as he walked by.

what a sad day for metal. $ounds of the $ellout tour is more like it.

I knew it! Okay, I'm not disappointed at all that I didn't go. I went to Pink Voyd in Sutton instead, and got there really late, which sucked... I had a feeling that Sounds Of The Underground would be like this. Hopefully I'll get to see SYL next time they come around, and Opeth will be around after their album comes out definitely, so I'll just see them play a real set then.

1500-2000 people

i thought the show was good...because i just hung out and smoked bones outside during all the crappy bands.

clutch is the worst band ever...how could you like them

best performance of the night: GWAR
worst performance of the night: a tie between the sound guy and every time i die
biggest letdown: the sound for the drapery falls during opeth's set...i almost punched the damn sound guy in the face

overall i thought it was worth it...we all showed up right as that sepultura cover started, which was pretty cool. I wanted to see SYL real bad, but i actually thought the sound was muddy, a lot of the stuff they did came out like jibberish, though i still enjoyed it thoroughly. hats off to gwar, opeth, and lamb of god(i'm pretty sure they were too wasted to play really really tight but hey they had a pit that was about 100 feet in diameter...or more....it was hard to tell from the middle of it )

i liked unearth's set...but from where we were it sounded bad and i was too lazy to go down to the floor and check the mix there

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jun 26,2005 11:07am

Here is my long and boring review of the entire show:

I have bad memories of dealing with the assholes of SMG security at this place, and I was not suprised to see quite a few incidents throughout the day of them being nothing but bullies who probebly got beat up in high school to much and now use the oppertunity of the power trip their job seems to give them to feel good about themselves, given how miserable their lives probebly are. What else do they have to look forward to other then going home, getting drunk and watching TV? Maybe if they are lucky their wifes will give em head one of these days, thats assuming they don't go home and rape them every night already. And I feel bad catagorizing those guys as a whole cause some of them seemed like perfectly decent dudes, but holy shit, they've got some assholes working there. Anyways...

I got there during Throwdown's cover of "Roots Bloody Roots," which I thought was kinda week. Actually, this show as a whole was pretty weak. And what a cluster fuck it was. The crowd was so young. It was really weird to see what that bunch of bands that sorta got Metal Fest going have been brought into. I've got plenty of mixed feelings about the fame and success and the concept of "staying underground," which this tour clearly was NOT a representation of the sounds that are underground. Perhaps it would have been four years ago, fuck even two years ago would have given the tittle a bit more authenticity. Whatever.

I guess the Red Chord went on really early and I missed them, but how many times have I seen them? Norma Jean is a band that I've never had a shred of interest in, but they put on a fairly good show. Every Time I Die blew, although I have a biased opinion cause I think that blow anyways. Tonight they sounded like Converge for some reason, but they still blew.

I missed Strapping Young Lad while I was outside chillin with old Randy grabbing the free cookies from the buffet. Then we went inside to watch a bit of Gwar. THose guys rule, and since they were all covered in blood themselves, they were dripping the shit all over the place back stage and all of a sudden one of the EMT's started freaking out cause it looked like someone was bleeding and they didn't realize that it was a prop. Then Randy and I made our way up stairs to the Jager tent where we were supposed to meet up with the rest of the dudes from LOG and they were gonna do another signing. But the rest of the band was missing, so it was just a session of "Meet Randy," during which I talked to some dude who was working for Jager and who used to work for Slayer. We were talking about how everyone back stage had thought the Gwar blood was real and he was saying how this time last year when Slayer started doing the actual physical raining of blood thing, there was this time when the machine didn’t work right and all the blood eventually drained out into the street and of course people thought it was real and a bio-hazard team in those big plastic suits came in and “cleared the premises before realizing that the shit wasn’t even real blood.

Then I went down stairs to go watch what I expected to be a one and a half song set of Opeth, but hot damn, it turned out to be 3! Yeah, I don’t know why they didn’t headline this show. Oh wait! Yes I do. MONEY! Anyways, of course they should have played longer, but, yeah… money. They were awesome as always though, and I think they had the best sound of the entire show.
“So we’ve got a new record coming out in September on Roadrunner Records… which of course means it’s going to be a record of strictly nu metal…” “So this will be our last song, but of course we will be coming back at least 15 million times this year, so, not to worry. We always tend to close with this particular track and I think you all know what it is…”
“DEMON OF THE FALL!!!”
“You’re God Damn RIGHT…”
Yeah, Opeth rules. Anyways, at least whoever booked the Canadian show has their head screwed on right, given the Opeth will be headlining up there.

Chimaira was okay, but they are a fake band in my mind. Maybe if I didn’t know that they were fake I’d feel different. I know they worked their asses off before Roadrunner picked them up but they come off as a nu metal band trying to sound old school to me. Whatever. I couldn’t give two shits about Poison the Well and I could care even less about From Autem to Ashes, but they were indeed able to put on a pretty good show. I guess we can all officially label Matt of Dance Floor Justice a “fag” now given that he now has FATA shoelaces, but I guess I can be equally labeled as a “fag” given that I was the one who paid the dollar for them. Clutch was cool, but if this tour wasn’t already a joke, I’d have been seriously contemplating what they were doing on it. It was cool to see old Andre (the huge dude who some may remember from the Asylum and the occasional Slayer show). Clutch to my knowledge is his favorite band in the whole world, and the guy was having a blast. He even gave some little kid a piggy back ride and strutted around the pit for a bit. The only band that impressed me the most before LOG went on was Unearth, and I guess the only reason was that of the million times I’ve seen them, this was one of the best. They kicked ass on stage, but the amount of crowd surfing they were able to instigate was the coolest part. Tons of kids coming over the barrier all at once in such a huge place was indeed an impressive display of the laws of physics in action.
It’s really amazes me how popular Lamb of God became in such a short time frame. Granted, they are good… damn good. I personally don’t care for their “Ashes of the Wake” album, but live the songs rip, plus their older shit is awesome anywaays. I think if I’d been in their shoes, I’d have had a very hard time balancing the good feelings of success with the bad ones of attention overload. Kids seem look up at them as if they are in-touchable rock star gods now, and as cool as that can be, it’s really weird. At the same time, here they are, able to do what they love for a living, at least while it lasts and that’s fucking awesome. Anyways, despite the awful sound, they were able to put on a great show as always, hitting six new songs, four from “Palaces…” two from “Gospel,” and instead on playing “Bloodletting” from the Burn the Priest CD, they play “Suffering Bastard.” That was pretty cool. “We haven’t played this song in six years so here it is…” Anyway…

I could go on and on about how it sucks when media corporations see artists sitting on what could potentially be a money pit and exploit it. But I guess at least this time it wasn’t something as lame as nu-metal.

All the bands I was really excited for (SYL, Opeth, Gwar) felt sub par to me. SYL seemed way to quiet. I could hear everything, but the person next to me talking at regular volume was louder then them. They didn't to seem to have nearly any the energy of the 4 other times I have seen them. Opeth's set was short, and they were kind of messy I thought. COuldn't they have picked something else to play. They play those 3 songs EVERY time. Gwar was the main reason I even came, and bahh. I heard they were to get 45 minutes, but they got 30. The blood didn't even work for the first 3 songs, and it hardly worked for any of the deaths.

I was going to come away really dissapointed if it wasn't for LOG. They really fit into the arena setting the best. They were the only band I think who has toured arena before, and they have that wall of speakers. But their show was just perfect. Randy looked so bad ass when he had the lights on him as he smoked that cig, heh. The floor was really fun to. There was no designated pit, it was chaos, and when people did the wall of death I intended to stay out of it but I got thrown into the charge, there was noooo shelter. But it was really fun

The show was AWESOME!
It sucks how all people do is complain about stuff they should have known going to a show like this. Or at least info they could have found out on-line before they went.
I guess people (especially stuck up 'scenesters') have nothing better to do than complain :-p heh heh

I was stoked out of my mind when I walked in and the air conditioning was fully legit. Because it was like 47 million degrees out side.

TRC, ETID, NJ, GWAR, Opeth, Camaro, PTW, UE, and LOG were all AMAZING as always, and the reason I payed $33.50 for that junk.
-Mark (MMMP)

p.s. There was 3500 people there.
p.s.s. The order of bands rotates everynight based on sound scanned cd sales for every city. So whoever sells more in whatever city will play later etc.

strapping young lad: they just walked off the stage. it was a pretty awesome set. the sound (atleast up front) was mixed so well. you could hear everything. I'm glad they got the synth right. typically they mess that up and you either can't hear that or it's blasting. they they played a really really short set, but devon was hilarious. he kept telling the audience off and then saying not to buy their "shit". Devon kept making scary faces and staring lynne down.

Otherwise it was a pretty good show, I was sitting in the stands most of the time, Anyone see a person wearing a Red Over shirt and a tie? That was me... I had been up for about 40 hours straight by the time the show ended because I couldnt sleep the night before waiting for it.

Gwar ofcourse, I think put on the best "show" by far.
Musicly... I enjoyed Gwar DD PTW SYL and LoG the most though out of all the bands. "Sick Of You" and "Black Label" where fucking great (Wall of Death) PTW Should have played Nerdy though...

clutch: I'm not a fan of clutch. I think the new stuff sounds like southern 70's nu metal. anyhow, the first song they played was alright. the singer was on guitar in the front. then from there forward, he only sang. for the third track, a guy came out an played second guitar for them.

their new record isn't anything special, it seems a lil rushed for this tour to have a new album to sell. but 70's southern numetal. i don't see that at all, Blast Tyrant was one of the best records released last year.

unearth: unearth.. well... it's unearth. their set was realy good. I thought their playing was ok. not as tight as they usually are, but still good. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've seen them in a long time that ken was sober for. granted he and buzz did funnel beers on stage. with in the first few minutes, trevor was in the crowd which was awesome. they did have did have enough lights on the stage. when they did that mutual guitar masturbation thing, you couldn't see what they were doing cuase it was just strobe lights. they ended their set with black hearts still reign. the middle was drawn out longer for them to run around. the set finished with Ken on the top of the right side PA and Buzz on the top of the left side PA. from the back of the place, it looked really cool.

lamb of god: they played an awesome setlist. tons of songs. and kept the energy for the entire set. they have gotten very adept at playing on a large stage. I shot the first 3 songs and then trotted to the back to shoot some shots of the "wall of death". they were all there for the entire day, but randy didn't seem drunk. the last time I saw them, everyone in the band was pissed at randy and he got kicked a lot by the other members of the band. the wall of death was sort of ho-hum... they didn't really even announce what it was. people did separate and crash together, but it was a far cry from the video:

Yeah, the guys in the photo pit were really cool. Especially that black dude, the dude with the mustach and their superviser in the blue shirt, black hair and with the head set. Thats why I felt weird about catagorizing them as a whole. This one dude in particular really pissed me off though. He was on the side corner between the sound stuff and photo pit and he looked like Dustin Hoofman (the acter) mixed with some other actor who sorta looks like Dustin Hoofman and plays the crooked cop in the movie Money Talks with Chris Tucker and Charly Sheen. This dude looked like that only with glasses and had a red shirt and head set. He gave me shit a few times, first was when I didn't have my pass stuck on my shirt (which I never do anyways cause they always peel off) and started screaming at me about which shirt I was going to put it on ( I had a long sleeve on as well at the time and started to put it on my other shirt and he flips out). Then he gave me shit later when I came threw a different time and had a few pins stuck in the pass holding it to my fucking shirt claiming that it obstructed the veiw (that one I really didn't get). I sorta just laughed at him and I guess he didn't like that but a bunch of other people started laughing at him and he let it go. Then during the Unearth set when all the crowd surfers were coming over at once and the guys up front were hopelessly under staffed (well not hopelessly, but understaffed still) and of course given that there I was, as Ive done at the Palladium numerous times, I grabed a couple of kids that were about to fly over the barrier onto the floor, or helped the guys down off the barricade if there wasn't anyone else to back them up. The amount of kids crowd surfing all at once simply wasn't something that happens at every single concert, especially ones of that size. And the guys on surfer duty up front and saw this and thanked me profusely. I guess as soon as this guy (the one that looks like Dustin Hoofman) saw that I was still up front after the 3 song for photos and that I wasnt taking pictures anymore, he made his way over and started screaming at me to "get the hell outta here!" and I know I shouldn't have offered cause I knew the answer due to the fact that Im not insured and could sue then if I got hurt, but I asked if they "wanted and extra body to help out," and as he was replying with something like "thats not you're fucking job" and starts getting in my face like he's just dieing for the cue to kick the shit out of me (all the while he has his back to the crowd) along comes a kid of the barrier and a guess I should have just stood there and let the kid fall on this guys head, but I shoved him out of the way and held the kid from coming over till 2 other guys got there to bring him over. Then I kinda storm off, pissed and annoyed. Plenty of people saw this happen, security guys, kids up front, people on side stage, but I guess the guy figured I was "attacking" him or it could be the excuse to be able to claim I'd attacked him and flies after me with some other dude and they tackle me and slam me up against the wall screaming at me not to ever EVER do that again. As they loosened their grip and actually listened to what I had to say, their only responce was about the legal issues that could entail, which of course make sense, but damn, not even a shred of a "thanks anyways." In the heat of the moment I guess I really just should have let the kid fall on the guys head. I told the "other guy" given that the Dustin Hoofman dude refused to even have a "friendly chat from across the baricade" that it was simply a shame that what I felt like was an act that was in pretty damn good faith was taken as an attack. Then his response was more bullshit about legal issues. All I got was a mute face in return when I asked him if it made sense of me to save that guy given that there just wasnt anyone else there. I know they know they were the ones that were wrong, but how they acted during and after was very frustrating. Even when I took my leave from the photo pit after LOG's 3 songs and gave the Dustin Hoofman dude a salute and a smile, he still stared blankly throuough me. I guess if there'd been a little history between the 2 of us, maybe him being so aggresive from the first second he saw me might make more sense, but I'd never seen the bastard till then. Guess to him I'm nothing more then some "hippy" with dreds that doesn't contribute to his society, which if you wanna call it "his" society, I unfortunaly most certinaly do contribute. Oh well. Life must be pretty miserable for him indeed.

The other dude who pissed me off was the short bald italian looking guy with the big chin who seems to be the head of SMG security. He has one of those ex-cop looks to the way he struts around, and other people working for him folow him like he's the tough kid with the tree house and if they do anything wrong they wont get to be in his club. I didn't have any conflicts with him myself, but I saw him just being a complete asshole to kids on Saturday and at the other time I was there which was the Slip, log, shads show a few months ago. Stuff I really wish I had the balls to get close to with my camera. Anyways, I think I just wrote a whole book.

Anyone who needs a person to go throw rocks at, Im sure those 2 live in the Lowell area, and in my opinion, they deserve it. It'd be one of those times where indeed the pen is more powerful then the sword, but fuck it anyways.

It'd be one of those times where indeed the pen is more powerful then the sword, but fuck it anyways.

sounds like the cunt who works a lot at the palladium, guarding the entrance to the photo pit on the left. not him obviously but similar in the bizarre fixation on seemingly random personal grudges.

good for a laff.

Did anyone else notice that the crowrdsurfers, after being brought down, were shoved, not helped to the left or right? I saw one kid 3 feet away from his shoe, and security wouldnt let him grab it. they just pushed him away and screamed at him to get movin. This was after the gwar set, when the floor was covered in a half inch of fake blood. I feel bad for that kid.

wow, all that remains is having shitty luck.

from a review of the Philly show...

"Next up was All That Remains. Always a strong live band & today was no different. Their bass player, though only 3 weeks old, was not there. After talking with Phil, he snapped, went home w/o telling anybody & he had to call the guy’s moms house to try to convince him to come to the show today & he didn’t. So sub bass players were Ken Susi & John of Unearth, some black dude named Nate & one of the chicks that run the Prosthetic booth. So odds are they will try and get another bassist."

Damn, I was talking to some of the dudes from All that Remains way after the show and some of the buses had even left and I went over cause I thought they were just a couple dudes that'd locked their keys out of the car and they were like "well actually we can't find our bass player. He's missing."

i agree with you there. crowd surfing is the gayest thing you can do at a show, unless you're devildriver, then playing is.

This was about as commercialized as hardcore gets. This is the "hardcore" Ozzfest (despite the fact that the recent lineups are starting to look like this one). I left after Opeth, because they were the only reason I really went to this in the first place. There were times where I was even skeptical about going for them, but then I found out about the Meet & Greet and I figured if I could get some stuff signed by Opeth and Gwar that everything would be okay.

I felt horrible for A Life Once Lost because they work very hard at what they do, tour their asses off and never really get appreciated. Although I am not a huge fan of them, I have no problem watching them because they are such a chaotic band with a lot to offer.
Norma Jean put on a good show playing The Entire World is Counting on Me and They Don't Even Know it Yet, Bayonetwork, Face:Face, Memphis Will Be Laid to Waste.
Strapping Young Lad was funny as hell, excellent as always. "You're lucky we're playing this next song because your all fucking ugly. Buy our t-shirts, and pick up a million copies of our CDs then hand them out to your ugly friends." Ah, good times.
Gwar kicked ass, as always. They set was far too short (it took twenty minutes to put up their stage, twenty minutes to take it down and the band was only on for a half hour).
The whole half-hour set thing is a real joke. I mean, that means three songs for a band like Opeth. Whoever did Opeth's sound is a horrible human being. Martin's left bass drum was inaudible so all double bass was cut in half. The guitars were basically non-existent in The Drapery Falls. The vocals were very, very low. Of course as a band, they were spot on. The last song was Demon of the Fall as always and when asked "We are going to end with a song we normally end with. It is off of the My Arms, Your Hearse album...what's it called?" "DEMON OF THE FALL!" "You're god damn right" I love that band.

I am glad I got a chance to meet the bands, but the day was very long for something not that great. The sound was about as bad as the Palladium. Gwar is much better on their own, as with Opeth. But oh well, will see them again when they come around.

And for the record, Devil Driver sucks.

they are ok...memphis is a great song. they move a lot on stage. they kind of sound boring a lot of times. eh who cares... this show was amazing in my humble opinion. ive come to accept bad sound and not let it ruin my time, as well as "mallcore" kids and everything else that you all complain about. the only bands on this entire show that sucked were devil driver and chimaira, and maybe FATA but i didnt think they were horrible. syl, gwar, and poison the well were my favs. good to hear new songs from bands. opeth was a bit dissapointing with the whole 3 song set. kinda wanted to hear something from still life. all that remains had a bad guitar cable and let it ruin their set. everyone else was somewhere between good and very good. my favorite moment of the whole show was watching ETID from the floor.. watching a 40 year old dude with a 1988 kreator tour shit rock out in a pit of scenster moshcore kids. my second favorite moment was watching gene hoglan play drums stoned off my ass. im tired and drunk from the despised icon didnt show up show tonite. goodbye.
