I heard Venom was added to this show. |
na they haven't been added, who'd you hear that from? |
on a scale from one to ten, how metal? ill say around a 3.
i might very well be there, however. |
I don't think there's any other shows going down, so I'd be there |
Roll call for tonight, anyone gonna be there? |
I will be there.
but I don't count cause I only take pictures,
don't pay to get in,

no rev! you want to see all the bands! say it! say it! |
this show is like two miles from my house. doesn't mean i'll be going though. |
you should go instead of sitting at home |
the crowd response gets the thumbs down.
but the bands get the thumbs up!
I'll review this in the morning. |
thanks for coming haha, I'm sure you had a blast..

for one thing, the crowd really didn't seem into it at all... I'm not sure why 90% of those people were at the show.
amaranthus: they didn't seem to be in too high of spirits at this show.. maybe it was the non-reaction from the crowd or something. they played the same songs that they have been playing when I saw them the other times lately. The vocals were way out in the mix though.
with passion: as I said before, they were the reason that I convinced myself to go to this show. I've been listening to the CD a bit. the CD is more death-metal influenced. live, it was more.. um... spazzy metalcore-ish with some deathmetal tossed in and keyboards. like the first 2 songs they did, they just seemed to play "crazy crap" all over their instruments. after that the songs were more stuctured and reminded me at some points of Dead to fall and others black dahlia murder. they had triggers, but they sort of sounded like butt through the PA.
the auburn system: so they got out of the studio recording their new CD with Ken susi, then 11 day spring break 2005 tour and just got back, playing this show. First off, nick's voice was shot from the tour, but warmed up after a few songs. they played really tight. I got their new CD (april 8th cd release)
mercury switch: sam's voice has been completely gone all week. I guess it just came back today. During all the singing parts, he wasn't pushing his voice at all. I think it only cracked once. They played some new songs that are coming out on their next CD. Also, they had yet another bassplayer.
the red death: they were a lot more death metal with a couple break down. good stuff. I guess they are signed to metalblade now and have a CD coming out soon. they are also from upstate NY. the singer said the town name and someone from the audience yelled out "do you know blah blah". they were all taken back that someone knew someone from their backwoods town.
on broken wings: I've decided that they are good with or with out mr cupckaes. At first I thought the samples were sort of cheesey.. and then they were just parts of the good songs... and then when they were gone, I was like WTF. but after seeing them a few times since his departure, this show/music is still good. Granted, there will be no "rap" song anymore, but whatever. they played a bunch of tracks that are going to be on the new CD. People actually finally started moving around for OBW. |
