Well, this is a different sort of war, as far as our enemies. The first few countries Hitler invaded had no idea they were going to be invaded. This is why Hitler won so fast. Also, alot of the people in those countries were very sympathetic to the Nazi's for heritage reasons, and the way Germany got screwed so bad by France and England. France and England were never great friends to alot of those other Eastern European countries.

And Hitler was a total pussy about his true motives, actually. That was the other reason he was able to keep a major war off his back for such a long time.
