i read an article where the lead singer said that he got physically ill whenever he performed the heavier material. which is why he started singing...

who knows

Caleb [bass-in Cave-In], was the singer in my old band [Strike 3]. He could easily front the new 'heavier' side of Cave-In; he sings from his ball bag! When we use to record, the sound techs were always impressed that he was actually making those 'vocals'. He could hack up odd white chunks as well, but it didn't seem to bother him.

Hopefully, the new shit will NOT be like Strike 3 if this is the case, or NOT even like old Cave-In. That's shit already been done, still being done, and beaten to fuckin death!!! (Strike 3 quote, 'It's time for a change!') Heavy Music, in general, has become a retarded rehashed version of old shit that everyone has already done. The 'metal-scene' needs a metal version of Nirvana to come along and knock the spiked bracelets off everyone. Still stay it's more about simplification than complication.
