our old guitarist (the one killing me with an ak-47 in kadoogan's photoshop thread) was an english major who used to post a word of the day on his dorm room door. people used to rip it off his door and he would fly into a rage over it. for an english major, he sure knew a lot less words than i do and would often post words of the day that weren't rarely seen by most people.

one time our other guitarist told him to check out the word sesquipedalian. i had never heard of it, so i thought he made it up to fuck with him and get him to look through every dictionary he could find. i made up a word off the top of my head, trepidstallonious (a combination of trepid and sylvester stallone) and told him to check it out. i forgot about it after a few days, and 6 months later, he came back and told me he had spent 6 months looking through dictionaries trying to find it. i laughed and told him i made it up, and he kind of laughed, but i could tell he was trying really hard to not flip out at me.
