i like to hit balls with clubs as much as the next guy, preferably into picture windows of suburban homes, however, my main beef with golf (before this article came to my attention) was that all those innumerable acres of land that could be used for more productive purposes (i.e. ANYTHING ELSE) get landscaped over so these rich assholes can play their stupid game. not to mention the massive amounts of water wasted to water all that grass, and the fertilizers and other chemicals leaching into the groundwater so these beautiful people will not be offended by crabgrass...ugh
