I think a lot of Berklee guitarist just want to play leads all day and show off to everyone. They seem to have no interest in rhythm guitar and just want to wank like all the wankers they worship. Of course this isn't everyone there, but it's definitely the stereotype and it sounds like plenty of them justify it. One of the reasons I never really taught myself how to play leads is because of kids with that attitude. Sometimes I want to scream at guitarists "for the sake of the song, man! for the sake of the song!!!" [/complaining rant]
