As the final addition to their new line-up, BLEED THE SKY has brought in Rob Thornton to take the place of Wayne Miller on guitar. Thornton played alongside current second BLEED THE SKY guitarist Dave Culbert in the metal band Brotherhood based out of San Antonio, Texas. Thornton and Culbert make a lethal duo that will be contributing heavily to the new BLEED THE SKY as-yet-untitled record to be produced by Fear Factory's Christian Olde Wolbers.

One of the unavoidable after-effects of the illness Miller suffered while on BLEED THE SKY's Summer Of Sin tour with Dope in 2006 was significant nerve damage to his left hand. He is currently undergoing physical therapy in Orange County, California, and has been told that he can expect a complete recovery within six to eight months. In the meantime, Miller will be co-managing the band alongside Archetype Management and will still take an active role in BLEED THE SKY-related business decisions and negotiations.

The following is a statement from Wayne Miller:
"Rob Thornton is by far the best pick for BLEED THE SKY. I don't feel that anyone else can fill this position better than him. He is a phenomenal guitar player and a true brother to me and the rest of the guys. The BLEED THE SKY guys are my family and the band is my life, but due to the injuries that I suffered while on the Dope tour, I cannot perform with them right now, so I have to step back and do what is best for the band. In the meantime, I am going to assist in managing them to stay involved with 'the family business.' I am just very fortunate to still be alive."
