I agree, and I can understand you arguing that playing a few parties in Sweden is too informal to consider touring, but in Iran, playing in front of audiences of 20 - 30 drunk people at parties in fifteen different locations IS all the touring you can do, because there are no clubs for any music unauthorized by the government.

Anyway, my point was, official or not, I couldn't have done all that stuff without a passport.

Italy's a cool place, by the way, I didn't mention it because it was just a stopover on the trips to and from Iran, but this last time we actually had time to leave the airport and spend the day walking through Milan, check out an OLD fucking church, and eat pizza at a restaurant on an old cobblestone road. I definitely recommend it. (Although if you go, out of all the countries in Europe, Italians are the least likely to speak English.)
