Well...I first met Joe 4 years ago in line at Metal Fest, passing out flyers for More Force Fest. CONSTANTLY from the time he STARTED Not Common, he was not only a driving force but many times THE driving force for helping local bands. I've played more shows booked by Joe than I can remember. I've been to several shows at All Asia, O'Briens, Choppin Block, and Middle East that have been incredible and nonetheless memorable. Joe, dudebuddyguy, this sucks! Yes, we've had our arguements in the past and yes I sometimes didn't agree fully with some of his logic (I doubt anyone can change that) but it still doesn't change the fact that he works harder than any other promoter I know in Boston. As for Not Common being a shitty label, whatever, he had alot of balls to shift from punk to metal. And all you fucking crybaby's complaining about his negativity, GET THE FUCK OUT OF METAL, this is kill your mother kill your father music, keep yer fucking emo shit outta of my life, no one here is interested in hearing you bitch about "one time, joe zinged me" I've been zinged numerous times by the fucker, we've battled in front of o'briens and the choppin'block several times til blood was shed, being soft isn't metal.
Is the scene over? No, of course not, it just doesn't die like that...unless you let it. I know that sucks that Joe, Liz, Jess, and Anne all stopped booking shows within a month, but then again I've always wanted to see more bands booking shit. Who knows what will happen.
