ok, i heard from Alex of DI. apparently they had a bunch of shitty traffic issues. see below:

"hey guys, just writing to apologize about missing the show. i've been listening to tyag and pillory before we even started writing and was looking fwd A LOT to this show. i could make up fake excuses about having van problems but no. we left at 1:30pm from philly and what was supposed to be a 5 hour trip according to mapquest ended up taking twice as long. we ended up driving in a traffic jam for over 4 hours because of road work, construction, accidents, bad weather, NY fucking rush hour. we were still 2 hours away from the venue last time we checked and it was 10:30pm. we NEVER cancel or miss shows so im pissed. i made lots of calls to try get one of your cell phone numbers (didn’t work obviously) to let you know whats up and left a message at the venue too. anyway, sorry again, didnt want to lose your time."
