teratism: so now mike (DOM) sings? rob (boston's air guitar champ) announced to the whole word that he actually does drum for blistered earth (his doppleganger, greg, was there, but I didn't see them together cause that would have meant the end of everything). their set was pretty nasty. being someone who was close to the stage and/r on the stage, I thought that their sound was really good. I didn't hear it from the back, but everything from the tri-vocals to the drums to the guitars sounded great. by the end of their set, a lot of people were tossing up horns. hopefully, they will be openning downstairs for a band like napalm death if they come around touring.

anoxia: much better soundwise than all the other venues I've ever seen them in. the only thing that was wrong with their sound was the vocals were a bit too loud. they took a really long time to set up so their set wasn't very long. I swear, maybe 6-7 songs @ 2minutes per song.

internal suffering: this is the first time that I saw them that the drums were as punishing as they are on their CDs. Maybe it was cause for a song or two, I was back behind the drummer, but it was pretty awesome to watch the drummer playing.

malignancy: at first it started off with the vocals squeeling way too high, but after a minute or so, the sound was pretty awesome. it was actually the best I've heard them... eh.. actually, I think one of the NY shows sounded better. compared to the bombshelter, and some other places, I've seen them, the sound here was much better. you could actually tell what was going on. last time I saw them, I thought that I would like to see them live with 2 guitar players. after this show, I decided that that would be way too much. Oh, and roger was wrong. if you heard him say "we haven't play here since 1999 though rev from return to the pit says 2000". I was correct, when I told him may 6 2000:

warning the pictures are horrible... this was with my 1999 digital camera and was the first RTTP show I shot.
as always, it was fun shooting pictures of roger running laps around the stage.

dehumanized: well, these dudes definitely don't disappoint. this was another awesome set. I don't think that their CD does their live set justice. Also, those new tracks that everyone was bitching about or whatever, well, live they are completely brutal. at one point john, the singer went incredible hulk and shredded his shirt, tossing it in the crowd. some bald dude was super psyched to get that as a souvenir.
